Anyone else having flashbacks to watching the DVD logo bounce around the screen?

Does upgrading the base terror also upgrade the base attack of your troops in battle? If not, it should.

Theoretically, when I start on Dungeon 1, it should always be the same, right? Except, when I use certain characters, it seems the game is MUCH more difficult than if I use the basic character. That is just ridiculous. The dungeons shouldn't get more difficult, you should just be able to get farther. The game should be laid out (still at random of course), but it should be the same difficulty each time regardless of how much progress you have made or which character you are using. The balance is just terrible.
