@pocoyo79 There is a junk item called "broken pipe" which is what you need for the quest. I don't know what you mean by "few zombies on screen" since I had upwards of 10 or more and the controls remained responsive.
Looks good so far. I believe it would be enhanced slightly if the reload/heat/rangefinder ring followed the mouse so that the important information would be near where I was looking.
I don't want to penalize your overall rating with a 4 but I just can't give a 5 to a game that lets the RNG lock one of my weapons away for half the game because it just never appeared in the shop. That one of the other weapons was stuck >10 levels behind the others was kind of annoying too. I really, really like the overall package which makes the obvious hole all the more vexing.
While the ladder interface is not standard, I liked how the controls provided positive separation between movement and hiding. Though now that I think about it, z would probably work for hiding too.
Massive cannon justifies the big tanks all by itself. Even if it didn't, the mega cannon costs only one gun point.
That said, the 'body' pieces should have been what determined your hp and movement ability so that the bubble points beyond your weapons actually meant something.
Well I feel volume control of some sort is a legitimate expectation for even a free game, but it is true that a lot of comments are just whining that lacks any kind of feedback to improve the game with.
Awful is being too harsh with it. The possession mechanic is cool, the lifebar keeps it fair, my only real complaint is that the combat is a little too simplistic. Needed a bigger variety of weapons and fire patterns.
Strategy and patience certainly, but hitting the fast tanks needs everything short of shooting out bombs randomly in advance. Saturating the area with bombs works, but defeats the point of aiming and setting muzzle velocity. Damaging yourself is another down-check. The strategy in the game is only one deep because the play area is very small relative to the fuse length of the bombs. So either bigger play area or shorter fuses. Interesting idea but needs refinement to be worth bothering to play at all. 2/5
if i was more experienced in as3, i'd add soundeffect volume controls as well. haha
