To people asking questions related to the game, many of them are answered in the walkthrough found on this site except for one of the temples, a superboss, minor things such as crafting, and a few other trivial things. If you want an answer on how to find something in the story, that would be a good place to look. You can also check out just about any LP or walk-through as well, or even the fighunter wiki to get answers as well. Also, as for temple order, I would suggest: Water, Fire, Earth... at least, that's how I go about it.
This may interest people who keep losing their save files:
Every time you clear your browser's or computer's history, no matter what you're using (whether it be Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or otherwise), your save data will be DELETED and will be very difficult to recover! So if you want to prepare for playing this game and have a lot of... stuff... on your computer, then your data will be wiped.
I'm not sure this is 100% accurate, but every time I've done this, my save data has disappeared, so it may be something to note.
Also, this series is done now, and the developer is making 'Taming Dreams' and some game called 'Cultivate'... they're VERY different from what you'd expect of the developer's past titles, as Taming Dreams take a rather wild spin on the older games (almost like a retelling), but if you want something different, I'd try it out!
jumpking55, your computer will probably speed up if you exit the game, turn off the computer and go back into it. Sometimes the game will experience lag for inexplainable reasons, and it easily fixes by restarting your computer. Trust me, I've done this several times and it always seems to work, though I don't know how it will work on different computers...
I don't get why people don't like this game. Is it the pixel graphics? Those are easily passed over for me; much better than the annoying chibi graphics EBF4 has. The combat is fun and simple, relying on a 4 element circle plus a few other elements which make this game similar to pokemon in a way. It has rewarding loot, a good story (two things that EBF4 lacks) and has a lot of status effects that make sense and aren't too hard to get rid of. Next, it has an engaging amount of content and replayability, unlike EBF4. Heck, I've commented here before, but MARDEK just has so much more redeeming qualities than EBF4 that makes the game fun and not a drag. So please people, open your eyes. This is a good game, sure it has its flaws, but so does every game. It's like another poster here said, it's a GENRE that it is making light fun of, not a copy off. Thank you for reading if you did, I really wanted to get that off my chest.
Pseudolonewolf, this game's developer, is making a second Clarence, called Clarence RPG: Clarence's unsurprising marital issues. It looks very clever and I think if you like MARDEK or this game, you will very much enjoy it when it comes out. I got my fingers crossed in hope. @arrrrgggh: The final boss can vary in difficulty depending on how hard you grind and what items you have with you/equipped. I did a low-level run once (level 42) and it was significantly more difficult than when I faced him at a higher level. So I couldn't judge it yet as to say he was easy or hard, because everyone is at a different level and has different items/abilities when they faced him.
@sardonica: Yeah, takes eight minutes if you do none of the sidequests. The first chapter may be short, but the third chapter is 50 plus hours, so please don't downrate every post just because you disliked a game you barely tried.
I love this game! Clever, witty, yet sad at the same time. The combat is great and the pixelated graphics make me feel like I'm playing Golden Sun or Final Fantasy all over again. The characters all have an interesting story to tell and the skills set this game apart from many others. 5/5 Pseudo, great job.
