Use lots of close ranged units for the final level epic mode. Lord Baal on epic mode is weak against magic i think. When trying to get past the epic modes, farm Goblin Madness for a while to get loads (i get about 3mil every time) and fully upgrade Viegraf, Cassandra, and Kara, along with imps,weretigers,angry bulls,invincable, and phantom ghosts. Just rush the castle every time with everything going at once and wait for the horn to blow, then use invincable, this should last you til lthe castle is dead, but you might need to use it twice on some levels.
Do NOT follow spear rows, if the enemy fires out a tough unit row then you are screwed, only buy 1 cav unit, and buy scouts for quick combat for demon campaign. Best to fight demons at beginning due to their daily power bonus for the later stages of the campaign
Love the human alliance (blues) Their elite unit kicks so much arse. Their units are balanced too so it allows almost any strategy you like. Tip for giants, send pikes first, then archers, allow pikes to slow while archers fire.
Aomori=easiest to start out, and if you have too many soldiers in the end, just send small parties at the last prefecture when you want them gone. REMEMBER! Its the units that can only move once, not that the prefecture can only send units once per day
SPOILER ALERT!!!!! Before you take out the last prefecture, make sure you have enough green giants to fill up 3 different regions, Ishikawa, Hokkaido, and Nagasaki should be Giant filled with either set of the cannons as the additional field tech

I agree with the common flu, my team is Warrior,Conjurer,Cleric, and Ranger as well. Pull the cleric and warrior up front, keep ranger/conjurer back, summon golem up front, and manasprite in back and your all good. never lost with that team. And keep vampiric and reflective items, they help more than you would believe
