Woohoo! I got the Easy badge on this game in 2010, little did I know it would be another five years before I got the rest. These two tips helped me get the impossible badge fairly easily: hold on to shield and skull items until you hit a lot of enemies, and be smart about the risks you take. I voluntarily skipped getting a lot of white gems I could have gotten as most of my failed attempts involved me screwing up a jump or landing that way. You'll still reach 500k, it'll just take a bit longer.

Is it normal to feel dead inside when you finally get the Impossible badge?

Got the impossible badge - took me over six hours of straight playing, not including all previous runs. My advice: start as a Sheriff and use the manual shotgun all game. Equip all of your allies with Gravity Guns and give them at least a Leech mod. Get at least 25 medals before starting your Hardcore run and buy a museum as early as you can, then get some chickens (shoot for no less than 75, build them up early to maximize your value). Try and get the Ranger, Noble and Militia classes as allies and try to max out at least one of the following: Accountant, Breeder or Love. You will struggle greatly with funds if you don't. Invest in a Villa and pump it up to at least +80% damage. When you get it, do NOT skip using it for even a single day; you will not get the final badge without it. Finally, be sure to invest in Accuracy, damage and anti-armor mods for yourself. I did just fine without any of the others. Hope this helps, and happy hunting!

564,643 points. It took me almost seven hours to get the final badge, and I gotta say it feels really rewarding. I mostly fallowed the strategy walmartgreeter mentioned - use the cool shades skull and focus on dodging before attacks. I used the death laser in conjunction with the shield and moved my guy in a circular pattern which sweeps the whole field clean. You can also bash a bunch of enemies dead pretty quickly, use that if the field is really crowded. Also, stay out of the corners - enemies like to spawn there and spontaneously ruin your run.
Woop, got all three badges on this! Really fun game, and the song is pretty catchy to listen to - I didn't mind having to replay it. Tip for all of you: don't focus trying to get the ruby gems, focus on racking up a huge combo. I got the final badge by getting a large score multiplier on pilot mode, and I was getting 10,000 for the oranges and 15,000 for the yellows towards the end.

Since the badges openly suggested the use of cheats to get them, I'm very happy that I got them without using any. I made it to wave 98 on survival - that seems pretty good IMO.

Congratulations! You just won the Drugs Are Really Excellent Badge and 30 points! Yeah! That one took a lot of tries to get. Nailing a perfect run seemed really hard for some reason.

Congratulations! You just won the Rhythm Prodigy Badge and 60 points! Hooray. My second impossible badge.

A bit challenging, but the game isn't really as hard as some of you think. It just requires a bit of thought, that's all.

Ugh, boring and very frustrating. I didn't use the cheat mentioned in other comments though, so I guess I can say I actually earned the two badges.

Why is the amount of people who got the hard badge so much lower than the medium one? I got them both in one try (though admittedly the second boss was harder, since the changing direction of the circle was so erratic.)
Woo, finally got all the badges. The last one was really difficult - I had to replay the last level about five times to get it.

I typically don't comment on games, but this was horrible. The hit detection was spotty - some times I'd hit an object directly and it wouldn't register, and other times I'd barely touch it, if at all, and it registered as a hit. Many times levels would be impossible to complete due to being completely blocked by objects (such as the Greece level). The double jump only worked if you were in the air - near the ground you don't even go up at all. And finally, moving much faster than objects behind you made getting through some levels very frustrating. This was a chore to play through and I'm very happy I managed to get the badge. 1/5
