Let me refine my earlier bug report, since the specific thing I mentioned hasn't repeated but something similar has: When you click on a tile, it selects a different tile, nearby. Like, a calibration issue. I believe it's only happened with ranged attacks. I'll select the tile the enemy is on, and it'll instead choose a tile one to three spaces over. So... there ends up being a dart or crossbow bolt in the dirt, rather than in my enemy's eye.
First few times I played this I didn't really appreciate it as much as I should have, though it was great. Now, I'm realizing that: It's absolutely hilarious, the combat is innovative, addicting and very flexible, the leveling system is nice and the skills implemented are fun, and even the story is entertaining. I'm playing the first again before I start the sequel but I've got a new appreciation for it.
A few things occur to me: I feel obligated to play, and beat, this at least once every few months, the telltale sign of a great game. Its average rating of 4.2 is relatively high. And ALMOST 2 MILLION PLAYS (hurrah!) implies that people tend to agree with my very, very high opinion of it. I hope the sequel I was told is potentially in the works comes to fruition ;)
Two minutes in, all I've done is read a couple pages of the instructions, and the grammar is already standing out to me a little bit. I won't judge the game any differently based on this, but it's always a slight annoyance and improfessionalism.
Hey, so I just uploaded an updated version. I will still (probably) made a sequel, depending on how motivated I feel in the near future (or if not very motivated then, the slightly more distant future, say May.)
Okay, there used to be things at the top telling you how much time was left in the level, how much money you had and what the goal for the level was... Alas, I'll probably never get around to updating this one again, like my other games.
It gets way too hard at the end. Great storyline, great RPG factors, and amusing gameplay. Until the ending, towards the End of Time. Once that gameplay gets to the point where it interferes with the story- the main piece- it starts to lose it's luster. I'd rather not just view the cutscenes, but if I can't beat this godforsaken Monolith at 10% health due to the impossible streams of lasers and missiles, then I may have to...
>_< The enemies should die when they fall within 5 HP, and your guys have some skill like "Hero's Resolve" or some shit, because I can't tell you how many times an enemy has 1-5 HP left and gets healed all the way. And they can do at as many times as they want.
I'm not an expert in Enlgish, I know :( And looks like the guy I hired to proofread texts should change his job. However, try to focus on gameplay :)
