I honestly can't tell whether the developer meant this seriously. If so... Nigh on impossible to read that tiny, lossy text at the top: make view larger. The size of the game field makes this something you'd play on a hand-held device, not Kongregate (until they come out with a "mobile" version of their website). Technically simple but effective. Then, it simply ends: needs high-scores board.
Yeah, it's Break-Out. It was actually pretty responsive, and I liked how the face can not eat the pies from a collision on the rear. It has problems with sticky sprites; some examples: i got the face trapped between a pie and the top, and it was stuck up there for a while, zig-zagging left and right, until it escaped; something similar happened with the right edge; it also became trapped in the paddle once, and when it escaped it headed to the bottom edge. I'd like to see some variety with the pies as some Break-Out clones have: e.g., sticky pies, supersweet-superspeed pies, thick pies that take multiple collisions, et c. The lazy graphics style is only funny sometimes, and this isn't one of them. All considered, I gave it 3 of 5 Stars for concept, but I'll probably use that to make my own version.
This game is great, but has problems with responsiveness: I often find myself overshooting landings or not jumping because I pressed the key a split second too soon for the game to recognize it.
Sorry about the size again and i will update. My brother rushed me so i can program him a website...
