Great game! The only thing that kept me from rating it a 5 was the fact that I have to click on the books constantly. :(
Also, I'd like to see stats on the units. It helps to know how much damage the soldiers do compared to a robot, for instance. The only way right now is trial and error, which usually means I lose the level.
Everything is good, but the music deserves special mention. Very thematic!
The achievements and how to get them:
Hobbit : View instructions and credits
Dwarf : Load the game 3 times
Bomberman : Lose the same level 3 times
Red Dragon : Beat level 17
Devil : Beat level 18
Angel Soldier : Max out the research tree for all races

Awesome game, but your towers need to fire at the enemy furthest along the path. It's incredibly frustrating to lose a perfect bonus because your towers just shoot at whoever they feel like.
For tanks, Shields are a complete waste of money. Got to later levels and realized all my time investment had been a complete waste, so I quit. Balance your classes.
It would be nice if you explained the rules for a level. I quit playing because I got bored of dying or not being able to control the snake, for reasons I couldn't understand.
The rules are hinted at at the side of the screen when hovering over. Doesn't it feel good when you finally manage to figure it out yourself instead of needing to be spoon fed? Also I think you might be talking of Viper, which like the character Zoolander you can't turn left.
You can't give a player an objective and then not provide the requirements to complete it. Control is terrible, and the fact that humans go right through objects is unforgivable. Lots of potential, crap game.
PROTIP: You can't hurt the boss until he completes his pattern and lands. No matter how many times you shoot him, it only damages him once. Repeat four times to win.
