Navigation was a little confusing, but ultimately I didn't need a walkthrough to find anything. All the places you could navigate to were logical. I did find a LOT of things by clicking at random, though, especially the kindling.
Found a bug/exploit: I used the "enchant" button that appears above equipped items to select one of my equipped rings (a Shadow Ring). I then equipped a Royal Ring in that slot, and then started looking at enchanting the Royal Ring. I then left the forge, and when I returned, I had two copies of the Shadow Ring (one equipped and one in inventory), and the Royal Ring was gone!
(I'm not actually sure I kept the Royal Ring equipped, but I do know I swapped it!)
Why can't I take the lightbulbs back out? Then I'd only need one of them. (I guess there isn't actually a way to turn them back off, and they're probably too hot to touch ... hmm ...)
The second map (in Vietnam) is completely freezing up on me after a few seconds. It's happened twice now. I'm going to turn down the quality and see if it helps, but if not, then the game is totally unplayable.
@Developer: In my opinion, quick save/load keys should NEVER be right next to each other (ever hit the wrong one by accident?). F5/F6 should be changed to F5/F9. I'd also appreciate a key to pause/unpause, rather than having to hit < multiple times. I LOVE this game. Keep up the good work!
@Jrud: Black holes are a double-edged sword. ALL events happen 10 times more often. Plus, the high gravity seems to increase the odds of asteroid impacts. And the black hole also randomly destroys your ships. I use them in two ways: 1) On small planets close to my base to get loads of biomass. When they get to 3.5 life complexity I strip them of all life with harvesters and reseed them. And 2) I use them on planets far away from my base with 3.5-ish life in order to accelerate the development of high tech civilizations. There's a good chance they'll destroy themselves, but they seem to make it to 8.0 about 30-50% of the time. And they do it 10 times faster. In any case, don't use black holes unless you have large reserves of biomass. They're a high-risk venture.
I managed to blast a painting right in front of my mech window. I then failed around blindly trying to dislodge the painting. When I finally succeeded, I saw I had managed to push my daughter totally out of reach.
Still couldn't hit her with a missile.
So wait, starting a new game reset all my achievements?
So what is unlocking the dark knight supposed to do? I didn't see any way to activate it in my current game.
Also, I kept thinking that blue should be z. (reads comments) I see I'm not the only one. I lost a lot of times on some very easy levels because it took me a long time to learn the controls because I didn't start red.
