I agree with edcedcedc; this game is good-looking and fun to play. It needs just a few extras, though: 1. A speed up button: Enough said. I'd like to see it be the 'space bar.' 2. Info on my towers: Power, range, attack speed, and a small description if you'd like. Preferably on rollover before you place them. Placing towers blind is no fun, especially if you need to use one you haven't before. 3. Call wave button: Would love for it to be keyboard mapped. Maybe 'enter?' 4. Upgrades? I'm okay without, personally; I can upgrade my towers on the map, so having a meta-upgrade system isn't a deal-breaker for me. Cool game, just needs a few tweaks!

Fun game, I'll definitely continue playing it. Just finished level two, though, and would love some help with the targeting; my poison spear throwers always target the same enemy regardless anything else. I'd love to be able to manually target my towers (first, last, weakest, strongest) but at the very least would like to have my towers target the enemy furthest along, giving me the greatest chance for survival.

This game is awesome! I am very impressed with the depth (skill node paths, upgradable weapons, minigames, and undoubtedly more than a few surprised still to come. A quick suggestion: a 'steal list' for each enemy in the bestiary would be a wonderful resource. Perhaps one that fills out as you steal?

Thanks. So I've been thinking about how to do this for a couple of days now, and I think keeping track of data might be too much. I'm too scared to put more data into shard objects (Flash save file) because of how people are losing some of their data. Do you think I should just show the list on the bestiary? :EDIT:: See note on Krolan. (TLDR: I'm redoing steal). EDIT:: EDIT:: I added rare items to be stolen. Each enemy will have a different number of loot every time. Because of this i think its a bit hard to list them since it's random. I think i'll have the community keep track of steals : http://crystal-story-ii.wikia.com/

Fun game, very addicting. A small suggestion for you: in 'attach mode' consider making the weapons fire so we can see where the bullets will go instead of having to guess and adjust. At the far end of the screen, the difference between perfectly forward and one adjustment off makes a big difference.

Got a bug for you: I clicked and dragged a purchased weapon on to the 'repair base' button, and it disappeared. Still not back after the next mission. It was the minelayer, so I'm a little said about it.

Developer response from GeneralVimes

It seems to me, the minelayervwas just sold. You can buy it again for the same price or just undo your action. But I'll check the game code anyway, thank you!

Good gameplay, fun and fast. Good sound effects, too. One quick suggestion: Add space as a boost: I use 'wasd,' so the x is hard to get to under my hand, and 'control' + 'w' closes my Chrome tab.

Interesting story, fun gameplay, good music, and beautiful artwork. It's very clear you spent a lot of time working on this game, and the result is quite good. If I may make a suggestion for improvement: BATTLE SYSTEM NAVIGATION: The world map navigation using the mouse and wasd keys is well done, and if incorporated into the battle system, the way battles are fought would be much smoother. I like having left mouse be 'confirm' and how you can use the mouse to choose which enemy you'd like to attack. If wasd was incorporated to navigate the battle menu in combination with a 'yes' button like 'n' and a 'no' button like 'm' with the mouse being the final confirmation, battles would be faster, smoother, and more fun. Speed is clearly a factor when the enemies are not programmed to ever be in 'wait mode.'

This game is very fun. I have several suggestions to make it a bit more user friendly. 1. Consider different quick-keys for arrow selection; I know I'm a bit unusual for my constant use of the track pad, but even with a mouse it would be hard to reach all six keys easily. Consider instead using 'asdf' and 'er;' this way everything is close at finger, and in my case, there's no awkward hand on top of each other action. 2. Perhaps between rounds, the player could select a pecking order for their arrows while others are reloading, or perhaps a secondary when a different arrow is selected. For instance, I like to use the Holy Beam arrow as often as I can, with the tri-shot when I can't. If I could select that '3' would be selected while '6' was cooling down, I would be a happy camper. Also, if both are cooling down, then '1' would be selected automatically. All in all a very fun game. I'm rating a five because I think it has great potential.

Thanks for constructive feedback, too bad you weren't my beta tester, because the idea of managing skills cooldown is very good.

Fun game. The combination of large, multi-unit battles and personal combat is great. If I may make a suggestion: 1. A confirmation button when you press "auto move" in battle would be wonderful; sometimes I don't want to use a potion when I'm sure I could kill the opponent the next round.

Very addicting and fun; the constant mass attack on both/all three sides gives the game a frantic but not overwhelming quality. A few suggestions: 1. Please let me destroy my own buildings. With such limited building space, it would be a great boon to be able to destroy them and use the space they previously occupied. 2. Please let 'wasd' work for navigation. Having to click and drag every time is tedious and not in keeping with the pace of the game. Great game, looking forward to an update and/or your next one!
