Good start, as others have mentioned:
Increase size of grid, multiple resources, more cards and scale prices differently, eliminate redundant cards (unless you can create a purpose for them), card evolution etc etc
My own suggestion would be to introduce factions, which the player picks from on each ascension to give bonuses to particular cards, such as:
- mercenary/merchant faction that focuses on a single production card and improves equipment/boosts (greedy bird).
- magic faction that works on spell-type cards (meteor) and gives a bonus based on how many different ones they have in play
- necromancer faction for undead cards(ghouls, ghosts, skeletons) that gives bonuses based on card placement in grid.
- nature faction that focuses on an ecosystem and how creating specific 'food chains' boosts the top 'predator' card.
- swarm/cult faction that works on multiple of the same cards.
Having auto-unlock levels and manually buying upgrades, when you have enough money for either of the purchases seems to put you into negative values.
Does Health regain actually do anything valid?
Displaying Cash as 'Total Production' is a bit odd. Highlighting available purchases doesn't always appear to work. Annoying to scroll up and down to get to various options. Otherwise, great work and a good start.
Would be helpful to see the increase in income that a revolution will give i.e. I have a potential 481253076% increase for peasants, a potential 38920707% increase for waterboys, a 9697095% increase for landlords etc
No easy way to work out which will be the most efficient, but it's something quite important.
Enjoyed the game to begin with, but after a while it was tediously repetitive - level the land around your starting position, build up enough of an army, build a land bridge then set them to look for a fight.
The idea is fine, the execution is terrible. Too slow paced. Too based on getting massed mages and getting the mana altars clicked. No strategy beyond this.
Some gripes about this game: 1) its essentially down to RNG if you're going to complete a level or not, I just came across a level with 4 computers on the first level and two on the second. Bonus, you'd think. No, this leads me to point 2) its possible to suicide yourself by selecting an action that will reduce your cycles to 0, this is dumb. 3) If you do reduce your cycles to 0, while still hacking and successfully hacking (or completing another task that will earn you cycles) you will regain cycles but still fail the level, this seems illogical to me. 4) The abilities seem unbalanced and if you do not squeeze every bit of cash from each level you will be unable to buy the correct skills to proceed. Frustrating. Other than this, love the game and I will persevere and complete it.
Stupid game, once I'd missed the "how to shoot from in front of the bow", instructions, level 5 became impossible and it was not evident on how to reset the tips. Lame.
Enjoyable, but too difficult at the start, the tower was too weak to take down the beginning ones reliably, so I lost lives without being able to do anything about it. Pausing, and make it so that you upgrade at certain breaks in the game! Otherwise, good fun
We are aware of the negative value issue and it will be fixed with future updates. Health regain heals wounded sheep. So yes, it does help. Regards
