All browser games have the issue where if the tab is not focused, progress would either be slow or not at all. Put the game in a new window and not a tab, that fixes the issue.

No, it really isn't. Some of them will like this one, but 90% others not. The tricks about playing the game in a different window are just that, tricks. What I've said remains true: the dev made it on purpose we are forced to be focused on the game. Pretty sure if he could he would remove the function that new window makes it work because this does not happen by accident, it's coded in.
I hate idle games but still played it for a bit since it was mesmerizing to see the blocks being eaten.
But it's a gross deal breaker that I am forbidden to tab out to read a bit or browse another game and the game pauses until I have given it my full and undivided attention.
No, just... no.
The game pausing while it is not in focus is shitty. It's an IDLE GAME. We check on it once in a while, we don't stare at the screen while numbers go up.
Waiting for the score to add up without being able to skip is annoying.
Game seems fine otherwise, but once getting the shooting upgrade the mechanics can be mostly ignored.
You need to change the color of the shots. Yellow is no good. Make it red maybe?
The weapons are too similar and some are objectively better so when we get one we like (I liked the bubbles since the wide hit box meant most of them hit) it becomes a game of 'dodge the weapons we don't want'. Think about adding a homing missile weapon? I like those.
The ship could do with a max speed limiter so it does not zoom around when we move the mouse.
I'm not sure if the blue ball power up come in enough quantities. I reached level 87 on my first try and picked every single ball, and I was having to let the enemies pass since I couldn't kill them fast enough (which ultimately killed me).
Kinda dumb how I can't keep the skills that I want. I want the bird with the heal skill but at each level up I'm forced to take something instead of being able to keep what I previous had.
Thanks for your comment, the game is roguelike type. This is a normal design. For more questions, you can join the discord group or contact us through the in-game helpshift. 1)discord link:https://discord.gg/XduANu5 2)How to report a bug:https://www.kongregate.com/forums/1072661-kumus-adventure/topics/1918109-official-how-to-report-a-bug
I don't get it really. The missions never stop and there is no option to upgrade the ship. If we return to 'home' we have zero cash and no modules to slot which means it just resets the game.
So how do we slot and upgrade the ship?

- The Turtle boss and the last boss have *very* annoying patterns. Being given a 3 second window to do damage and then spend 10 seconds moving as we are sloooowly chased to then do another bit of damage in 3 seconds wasn't fun. In fact, I reached last level and couldn't be bothered to kill the last boss knowing that A) the game was over, and B) I probably needed to grind more money for for upgrades.
- Money rewards drop off fast. Getting 1500-4k gold for the 'survive 4 minutes' isn't fine when we need 7.8k to upgrade a weapon once.
As it is my first game with "AI" I did not have much choice in how to program them as a SNES game like a Space MegaForce or Aero Fighters. I had to look at their image and think, "What could they do?" Because the images are free, I didn't have much choice. I apologize for lacking a bit of creativity. I promise to improve next.
I love space shooters like this and it was a pleasure to find it in the ocean of filth that are idle games (when can we filter idle games so that they don't show up?).
That said this is my opinion:
- Too few upgrades. Shooting faster and stronger is nice, but different weapons or quantity of bullets would be nice too since it didn't feel we were getting stronger with each little bit of meteor still swallowing two bullets and each meteor breaking into multiples. As it was I put one point in speed, threw some leftovers to Life until having 40 HP and a bit into magnetism. I would have loved to have multiple homing satelites and the game was at its best when having multiple P power-ups.
- i have no idea what the soap bubble power-up does. I assume it either works only on ship or it's a joker players must avoid? Why a power-up that does nothing to meteors which were 90% of the enemies?
Thanks for the compliment. The "good" powerUps, so to speak, are those with a light green background, note that the bubble comes with a red background, the reason for it is the player wasting time and money, and even lowering the weapon powerup levels that the player has collected. This is a little upgrade game, and it's the first one I made, so with all this information from the players I'm reaping, I will definitely make a better one later. Thanks!!
I'm having an extremely hard time building a maze when the route changes just from me putting down the blocks, and then going over the red zone I have no access to lay down blocks upon.
Well, you shouldn't rely on the red zone for your maze since it is not solid and bluuls can pass through. There are just some constraints here and there but the map should permit to make a proper maze/defense. :o
'The game will be severely slowed if it's not the main window or if it has been minimized'.
Haha!
*still loling while closing tab and moving on to something else*
And we definitely need upgrades. Once we get reds with 120+ HP and we have 60+ bullets we0re not going to stop four or five of them unless the terrain lends itself to it.
Overall though? Spiffy little game. I'm enjoying it
I took some of your feedback into consideration!
