my biggest issue after playing it for several weeks is that as you progress, the game doesn't get more complex, just more repetative. There's barely new features as you grind your way up, just longer waiting times.
i dislike how slow progression is, or rather, how fast you gotta reset to be efficient. Like, right now, I can buy 2-3 green upgrades every time i reset (i do that around lvl 40), and it takes me ~20-60 mins to do so. If I don't reset after that time, I don't make ANY progress, and IF I reset, I make so little progress that I have to do it like 5 times to be able to afford anything. Worst part is that it seems like this isn't even going anywhere... more progress will just force me to reset even more. Also, the constant reset makes workers kinda not useful, because if u wanna stay efficient, you don't build them in each run anyway.
money bags are nice early on, when something like 2k gold actually matter. as soon as you get to 3 or more floors tho, they become completely useless :(
the skill tree idea for resetting is neat, but the temporal rift in the end is very lame... it's basically just "play again, you will need exactly the same time to finish everything, and then you can play again, doing exactly the same, and then you can play again, doing exactly the same, and then you can play again...."
i liked it :) would prefer it to become an idle game, but that's maybe just my preference. Anyway, could use more upgrades - defensive ones that kill villagers (like gargoyles on the castle, swamp holes, a pet werewolf,...) and some kind of goal would be important. Maybe be able to port your castle to a more difficult location with enough blood, but the new location also grants more options on what to do with the villagers or what to build... (I really like the graphics btw =)
some levels feel a bit unnecessairy, especially early on. Like, a whole level to learn that sometimes you start with initial larvae? Do I REALLY need that?
After like 10 minutes, the only incentive to play this game is seeing how the dude looks with better gear. I could save a lot of time by playing a dress-up game.
i like the game, but why must i keep balance? Why can't I commit to being completely good or evil? If you implement that arbitrary "there must be balance"-rule, at least give us some reason :/
Hey hey. The game gets progressively harder the more you play, and also the more you kill the evil plants! It's just the rate of change is slow and smooth. The distance between chunks also increases.
about that hero equipping - I feel like i should be able to equip weapon, off-hand and helmet in one sitting. I don't wanna click "equip X" 3 times if I do it all at the same time anyway.
could use a bit more lategame content. The highest ascension is easily reachable with Elders alone, so there's not really a reason to ever do anything with robotics - it's just for the sake of unlocking it so far.
Sorry for that, is really difficult to foresee what is obvious for the player.
