Mechanics aren't very clear. I don't understand the benefits of nodes/children. Not sure if it is better to put a bunch of children off of one leaf, or have as many leafs with one child. I don't see what sacrifice does. Nothing makes sense.

relics don't seem to do anything. You buys your ten things and then you're done, it's useless.

The challenges are interesting, and fun. But the gambling challenge is brutally slow. So much so I find it not even worth trying.

since most recent update I've lost almost 10^3 production per second. Don't know why.

Developer Reply

I capped out click combo at 100% production, but in the last update I removed this cap so your production should be back to normal.

It would be nice to have a resource per second measure given a hardware setup. That way a user can tell definitively whether their new setup improves upon the old one.

Wow, there is just a whole lot of nothing going on. It's a good sign when an Idle game can be left on, requiring no interaction, and at the end of the day being no closer towards progressing.

elf assimilation is a terrible mechanic. The revolt system was an interesting soft reset mechanic that you felt like was steadily progressing the game. After elf reset, a hard reset, I actually felt like I was set back. My progress was slowed as I had to rebuild my soft resets. Awful.

Wow, the developer keeps nerfing pearl generation into the ground. Looks like he wants to up his rate of micro transactions. Always the sign of a good game.

Developer Reply

Please don't assume the worst of me, I'm trying my best and am learning with it being my first released game. The progression rate for Pearls should be exactly the same as it always was. I changed the Oyster Monument as it was previously useless but, instead, ended up breaking it with a basic formula that resulted in scaling infinitely into the billions within days of using it. The Oyster should now scale with your progression to always be a good passive income for both active and idle play, as it was always intended. I will try to avoid mistakes in the future, I'm sorry for the hassle.

Wow, you just killed the pearl generation. Deleted it from my game. Then I had to re-buy it, and now the rate it makes new pearls is nerfed into the ground. Great job.

Developer Reply

I refunded the Oyster monument to return all spent Pearls for everyone as I made major changes to it and didn't want people to feel cheated. The previous update's Oyster balance was broken and game-breaking so I nerfed it as quickly as I was made aware of its problems. I am sorry for any frustration caused and will try my best to avoid mistakes in the future.

Equipping items is very non intuitive. I don't know what is happening when I click on items, or what they are doing when placed in certain menus.

Decided to give it one last shot after initial frustration. Still disappointed. Do not expect a balanced game, that would allow free plays to be competitive. The grind is insurmountable, especially when more than half the time you aren't even playing against real people, but bots that are just artificially difficult, (you can't win with strategy when they will always have more powerful versions of all of your cards).

Actually I take it back, this game is completely pay to win, pay to play, pay to view, pay pay pay. Don't support this type of game.

I get that you have set this game up to be very micro transaction heavy, which is already a detraction. But the balancing isn't horrible, you can still sort of compete. But on top of that, you have added a lot of useless time sinks. You can only progress in the game every hour or two when timers are up, and that's a huge detraction. Not only is this just a money grab, but then you make it mandatory if you want to play the game. You decentivize playing the game, because you make players wait unless they pay you to play your game. Horrible.

I think this game is absolutely fantastic. I love what you have so far. It is easy to pick up and approachable, but has a nice level of challenge, strategy, and customization behind it. I would love to see you keep working on the game. It's a bit bare bones, but you have an amazing foundation and I can't wait to play further iterations of your game!
