I can't be the only one that keeps tripping up on Island 2, right? Maybe my old brain has just atrophied with time. The enemy starts with way too many resources and ramps up way too fast, it's ridiculous. I've tried several strategies but I find myself facing an army of pikemen and knights within just a couple turns whereas the best I can put together is a pair of pikemen, which drain my resources too fast for me to do any better than that... Didn't get much play time from this one. :( Maybe I'll just stick to Civ games, heh.
I am puzzled. When my tank dies, the archers just... stop shooting. I was in a battle where my tank (warrior) died, but I still had 2 archers and a healer, I had already killed the enemies' knight, warrior, and mage, so all he had was 1 archer ... and he just sat there shooting my guys who never retaliated after that. Were they just so enamored with my warrior that they just gave up on life when he fell? So sad. :(
Way, waaaaay harder than it has any reason to be right off the bat. Most games kinda ramp up as you go, let you enjoy a few wins before pummeling you with impossible-seeming maps and, "WTF? I did the best I possibly could on that map and still failed miserably. How am I supposed to win this?!" scenarios. I mean, the first one got challenging, but it still started fun. This went straight to, "Oh hey, this enemy is basically immune to everything you could possibly field at this point. Oh, but if you want to spend real money to win, we'll let you, that's cool..." *really* quickly. I did enjoy the first few maps though. It was cool while it lasted. I'd say I got at least 2, maybe 3 stars worth of fun out of it. That being said, I'm not seeing any of the performance issues others are, I'm not sure why. Using my work PC, Optiplex 7040, Core i7 w/16GB, onboard Intel video, good work PC, but not a fancy gaming rig by any stretch. Playing in Firefox v71.0 if that helps at all.
Enjoying it overall, but it feels like the "hit boxes" along the sides are a bit too... narrow. I think the "fail" zone should be more outside the black outlines, if by just a few pixels. Right now I would *swear* I have failed when something has just gotten *close* to the sides but didn't even cross the black edge. And that's lead to to some real frustration. Still lots of fun on the whole.
Is there any way we could get a "Complete All" button for completing missions? I'm up to 15+ missions a day, like just now I've got 19 that are complete. My budget for new mice would truly appreciate it. :)
Also 2) Every once in a while, seemingly at random, all of the monsters will suddenly become invincible and rush forward quickly, killing all of my guys. I can't click them, they don't take any DPS damage, they just kill my guys and send them back a screen. I'm playing the Recruit Xander level and there's no mention of this being a thing. Also when I manually click to move on to the next level it is usually fine. It just recurs randomly every few levels or so. Frustrating because it cancels the auto-progression so suddenly my progressing has slowed drastically. I had really hoped to recruit Xander and get at least one Tier 3 chest before time ran out on this event. v.v
That's part of the objective. There are gifts that fall from the sky and randomly kill a large amount of your Crusaders, which would cause your DPS to drop and your remaining Crusaders to be overwhelmed by the enemies.
Was there a fairly recent update? Starting yesterday I've seen 2 new bugs I've never seen before. 1) All of the character's level up buttons are grey and show x100, regardless as to how much money I have. I can't click them, pressing CTRL or SHIFT doesn't do anything, all I can do is hit the green "Spend all gold to upgrade maximum levels" button to level my guys up, but I can't do it individually. If I exit out of the browser and reopen it it seems to work fine for a while, but then I'll walk away and come back in a few hours and it'll be doing the same thing.
That's not an update of the game. That's something that Adobe Flash does. If you're holding the Ctrl key and click outside the game window, it will keep the button toggled until you return the mouse focus to the game and press the key a few more times. Some players like that aspect, but it's not something we control.
Hah, I thought the "get to 150" world was the most frustrating one, I've tried it a dozen times and haven't beaten it yet. I didn't think I'd find another world that was as rage-inducing. And then I jumped into the Polkaman world. 550 levels that need to be perpetually babysat. 'cause that's why I play idle games, so I can sit here keeping an eye on it for hours. And part that *really* ticks me off is that these worlds must be beaten in order to move on and unlock the special characters and slots. Hate this so much. That I otherwise like the game makes it that much more frustrating.
Thank you for the feedback. It is mostly an idle/incremental game. We just have the few objectives that require active play, which is a very small portion of your total game time.
Did jmtb02 die or something? That would be terrible and sad. :( I hope that's not the case. But if not, I really want to know how this game has been so broken for more than 4 and a half years *and*, even worse, why it's got the BoTD? Is there no quality control? I feel like there should be a QA department that looks at games that are broken and go, "Yeah, we're taking away, or not giving, this game badges until that game-breaking bug is fixed." It seriously ruins the badge process, especially for those of us trying to get the weekly Kongpanion and hopefully crown them. :-/ Please fix?
I got a Legendary recruiter. He gets 500% increased recruitment speed. Currently a Demigod + 12. I never actually send him on quests. He sits there, questless, unless one of the others dies and costs too much to replace (or is just a POS commoner specializing in recruiting as well or something useless like relic finding or skill activation). Then he goes to work. Takes less than 1hr 20min to recruit a new merc. Then he goes back to sleep. It's been great and has helped me accrue 426 rubies (from not having to spend them to raise mercs).
But now I'm terrified to Transcend. I'll lose him I assume. And that would suuuuuck...
I don't... get it. Punch guy, take a step, 5 people shoot you. Die. Restart. About as much fun as being stabbed in the wrist by a piece of shattered Winnie The Pooh ceramic mug and needing to drive to 3 different Urgent Care facilities while bleeding profusely to pay $300 for 13 stitches and winding up sick from blood loss for days. In fact, it's actually less fun, I think I'll go smash another ceramic Winnie The Pooh mug.
Wait a tick... now that we've invented Tree Plantation and Stone Teleportation and indoor everything, why not go back to Earth and set all this stuff up there? Instead of on a floating space-island that is who knows how unstable now that I've build a micro-city on it that's larger than it is. :)
Why do I want to recruit Spaceking? The guy is slaughtering everyone else. No one else will want to work with him even if he becomes "a good guy". Killing everyone is not an appropriate team-building exercise; I'm fairly certain HR would frown on it.
I think I finally came up with a suggestion that is truly useful, instead of just angry ranting or not-paying-attentioning. Can we get a slider bar for the heroes section in the Missions window? Sometimes I want to pick a hero who isn't "best recommended for the job" and I have to tap that right arrow many times to get over to them. A slider would be really cool. :)
Thanks for the suggestion. I've added it to the player suggestion list to consider, and we'll see what happens. In the meantime, you can use your mouse scroll wheel or hold shift when you click the arrow.
When 3 of your guys die at almost the same time, and so you send the last guy to hunt for a new merc, and he dies. The death rate has to have gone up, this never happened a few months ago. :-/ And while writing this up a new guy that I literally *just* hired 40 minutes ago died, 40 minutes into his first quest, an 8hr trip to get a few rubies. I'm finding it harder and harder to believe that the death rates are the same as they were a few months ago. >:(
Hey there! I will make this more consistent in a future patch :)
