(hard badges guide pt 2)
For souls, don't bother upgrading anything other than your sword. It's pretty pointless, especially after getting silence, and more attack generally gives you more bang for your buck.
At the last island, Dark Force, you're able to pick up a recipe for a Shrine (head south at 1st branching path) which boosts your damage by 10% PER SHRINE for 5k gold. Once you get the recipe, go back to the other islands and build shrines on every spot you can besides the build spots for catapult and ships. After building shrines, my damage jumped from about 2.5k to 10k with my strongest attack (Beat Down - Knight tree)
To get the hard badges, silence/disease (both Demonic tree) is your best friend. It lasts 2 full turns, so cast it on your first move ie. Turn 1- a) silence, b) any, c) any; Turn 2 - a) any, b) any, c) any; Turn 3 - a) silence, b) any, c) any, and so on.
For sieges, once you are able to make catapults, do so and equip 2 of them. Instead of using your frontline (soldiers/cavalry), use 2 'moves' on the catapult directly to the castle, and one frontline to frontline. Killing the castle ends the siege quicker.
For the tournaments, you can use a similar strategy for fighting normal battles, but watch your mp consumption against enemies with higher hp.
As cute as this game looks like, I'd really enjoy it a lot more if I could actually read the instructions given in-game. For some reason, they all stay on one line so the latter half? of the instructions gets cut off. Ie. "Now click on this clue! It means that Jack's room is so", and "Jack can be anyv" which makes it a tad bit difficult to understand.
this was like a legit great game. just a tad bit annoyed at my own stupidity confusing the W/E controls several times and jumping into spikes, but that last level was really interesting to play through!
I kept wondering why whenever i touched the ground i died, until i realized that i was touching the grass. Which is a living thing. Oh well. Great game!!!
