Guh, looks like I'm not getting second O set after all. Not only is this game the most boringly slow defense game I've ever played, it doesn't even work; as I type this every unit on the field just randomly vanished and the game is frozen. Definitely not worth the half hour it would take to start the level over, 1/5
Fun moment #1: "The only way to kill these guys is snipers and bombs! Good thing I'm telling you this right AFTER you spent all your money!"
Fun moment #2: "You didn't expect "repair" to repair ship damage, did you? Good thing your 10HP ship is closer to escaping the island!"
3/5. I'm impressed but there are some definite issues. Most notably it's not always possible to tell what your opponent is casting, and it's obnoxious that the "gain power or draw card" dialog box covers the entire field so you're screwed if you can't remember the board position. Also there are some things that seem buggy (like the end of level "damage dealt" thing, never shows values for me). I do see a lot of good things here and hope this does well enough to spawn an improved sequel with multiplayer. :)
zylth: If you really belive the luck factor is that huge, then maybe the real question you should be asking is what deity garcia1000 and the other top players are receiving assistance from to keep their winrates as high as they are!
"Completely unbalanced characters… This is what the gaming industry becomes when programmers are not thaught Math."
lolwat...the game's designer studied math at MIT and the game's top player uses literal game theory when solving endgame situations. This may be the best ignorant flame I've ever seen on this game.
"too bad about changing starters, you shouldve tried out random decks before choosing noobs"
Ugh. It says a lot of bad things about the game that "Don't start by picking starters" is sound advice!
xlife: Private matches are also on the planned features list
Damien: I promise Tafari stops feeling overpowered when you get more experience at the game. He is a huge skill tester though as often the correct counterstrategy includes things like eating leafy trap on purpose.
"1. Remove the ability to switch on first move. Because everybody will do it as their is nothing to lose by doing so and everything to gain."
Even assuming your opponent never intercepts, there's hits fleeing attacks, buffs, and the simple fact that you'll be in cooldown next turn and they will be able to hit you without fear of a switch.
"Need a way of talking to who your playing, in game.
and also, you should level up faster, if you play people of a a higher level."
The game already has both of those things (in ranked games at least).
"I really advise for you to use less energy for switching positions"
You have no idea how many things that would break. A lot of attacks are balanced around the assumption that rangechange->attack won't be possible, or at least will completely drain the character.
"Maybe if the game was fun…"
If you don't like the game, that's the real problem (and, don't get me wrong, one potentially worth fixing depending on what would make it fun for you). I just don't understand why playing the game to collect cards would be fun if you don't like the game. "Hooray! Another card for that game I don't like!"
NinjaGuerra, I don't understand how destroying the competitive balance of the game by introducing rarities will make you more eager to play the game. Here's a radical idea: The game being fun can be your reason to play the game!
lol jman, you do realize Lightning Arrow has a 1 turn cooldown right? And that power toss and power lash are physical, and do more damage and are faster than Trueshot? Against what character is LA an autowin? I guess Higashi, if you always Chi Blast right away, if that's the case I feel just as sorry for you as someone who walks Touch of Doom into a Shield Bash.
"lighting arrow take wayyy 2 much"
What does this even mean? Surely you can't mean the 0 energy cost is oppressive. I hope you're not asserting it's broken either as Andromeda is still very below average and no character is completely shut down by it.
