Any way to abandon a chosen daily? I made the mistake of picking a daily pretty much straight away, seems I'm stuck with one requiring 2 hour playtime that will reward me with 0.3 turret parts. :D
Really nice variation of "Balls and Zombies" (another of my favorite relaxing games)!
Couple of suggestions:
Just like in BaZ the luck of the draw when spawning enemies has a significant impact on how hard each round is - and this isn't reflected in the score.
A relatively simple fix would be to give each type of unit a score value - heck, 1 point for units that attack and 2 points for non-attackers may be good enough.
The damage multiplier feels wonky; I'm guessing it's supposed to work both as a bonus for pulling off long combos as well as a counter to balls getting "stuck" going back and forth. Either way, having its progress reset like that feels quite "disappointing".
Something to try could be to simply keep track of how many hits each ball has inflicted and have individual damage multipliers based off of that. (Could make for some interesting graphical effects, a string of balls shifting through different colors instead of all of them always being the same color).
A couple of suggestions;
- Add an option to enter the dungeon at a previously beaten level. Part of what's fun with RPGish progression is absolutely crushing monsters that used to give you issues.
- Increase animation speeds pretty much across the board, especially the death fade-out thing (except for bosses). The critical hit effect would look much better if it was just a quick (~0.1s) flash, rather than a weird growing ring.
Cool idea for an idle game!
Couple of small suggestions:
- Instead of a toggle that makes your ships target the enemy under the mouse, simply make clicking an enemy have the same effect.
- Small graphical tweak that you can try out to make lasers look less static: Right now it looks like you're picking one "offset point" (A) for where on the target the laser hits. Pick another such point (B) and for each frame the laser is drawn, interpolate the end point where you draw the laser between A and B. This should make it look like the lasers are sweeping across the targets rather than statically hitting a single point. Hope that makes sense. :)
Yeah, lasers would look better, i was thinking about it myself but want to delay it till more gameplay features are complete :)
About clicks - i didn't want to make user click a lot, but i may use both solutions, leave toggle and add target clicks.
There is not, at least for at the moment.
