Not sure if it's been suggested yet - but perhaps adding a buy option that purchases the components as well as the higher tiered items?
Would certainly feel quite a bit more smooth once you get higher multipliers.
Pretty fun game, needs some balancing issues, the Mku "ship" is seemingly the most powerful, whereas ships like Peyote have no appeal at all (standing still, still able to take damage, and no control). Also the fact that you can go back to earlier levels to coin farm makes this game incredibly easy (2-1 you can get about 2-3k coins per run if you have maxed magnet). Perhaps reduce the coin count on levels that you've already completed to make it a bit more difficult (but differentiate between having levels completed and failing a level)?
