I don't think you have any illusions about the state of development here, so I first want to say that you're off to a really good start. Mapgen doesn't seem to get crazy. Everything is there once you know how to find it. Suggestions wise... I would like to see a more obvious resource overview. I do really like the x - y = z detail menu, but maybe there could be room for a small summary with smaller buttons up top? Icon with totals and maybe change per tick if it fits? Also, click on building, get upgrades section. And as others have mentioned, and you seem to already be working on, a more intuitive unlocking system for production chains.
PS: I thought I was stuck at 48 Assistants as well (39 + 9), but the counter just rolled over to (39 + 10) as I was typing this comment.
Oh hey thanks for trying it out, and for commenting and giving some feedback, and suggestions! The clicking on a building without a building button selected, popping up the upgrade menu would be pretty neat. Good to hear about the assistants thing, that means I just need to adjust the formula for getting assistants, thanks. It would be helpful to know what kind of information you would like to be added to the resource info panel, if you have time to tell me :)
A simple and effective solution to the Alaska problem would be to just make the arrow pointing to a territory have the same effect when clicked as the territory it is pointing to.
Caderyn, I am fine with AI being intelligent, I typically play games on the highest difficulty available... I am not fine with the AI clearly basing it's moves off of my own. I even tried attacking 3 places at once and the AI just happens to know that every time, and reinforces all 3 to the best of it's abilities. Eventually they do get overwhelmed because you can abuse said behavior to it force them to waste armies while you suck up all the other countries with a tiny force, but that is hardly what I would call strategic, more like pedantic. Granted, an excellent idea, even decent execution, just seriously lacks the fun factor if you aren't into grindy games.
Good idea, but the AI sucks, it should not reinforce the sector you are trying to attack *every* single time, I don't always know where it will attack, it should not always know where I do either.
Definitely nothing new as far as tower defense games go.
Onslaught 2's turret combos are much cooler.
The art is "original", but only in the sense that it's bubble sprites substituted for whatever else other TD's use.
There is enough variety in the levels to make it worth some play time though.
