Completed world 4 and the 'world objectives' popped up but no button to go back to the map and none of the other buttons worked :( Had to reload and lost progress on that world.
Awesome game, though the 'you have talent points' thing seems buggy. I've had it get in the way of things and been unable to open the talent menu at all when it came up which made me have to reload to keep playing. Some sort of button to open the talent menu, or close the notice, would be nice.
Big update is big! One thought: It seems it'd be easier to make arrow shafts out of twigs or branches than logs, and it'd give a second item some use outside of selling.
Had the same issue as Kubuleki. Even with saving I lost a lot of game time and got bumped back to 74 woodcut from 85. Just tried again but this time it actually saved my progress so I'm up to 75, but I don't know why I lost the time before.
Fun little game, really awesome retro style, I just have a couple things: 1. Is it possible to save our audio changes between loads? 2. The 'kill 30 bats' quest isn't counting any bat kills. 3. A map would be really useful!
I've noticed that when you use a hotkey to place a tower, you can't place it down without moving it at least a bit, which isn't a huge deal or anything but a little strange? Also, is it possible to get hotkeys for sell and upgrade? :D Also also! Cow towers work once placed, but any cows it sends out after the first do no damage. :(
On Final level, the first thing I did was build a capital ship bay making annihilators. First Annihilator got built, started moving north, and I won. All in under a minute. It was very unexpected. o_o
There seems to be a minor issue with achievements. I just did a survival mode up past wave 400, was told I'd earned the Survival - Holy Hell achievement, but when I look at my achievements, it's still blacked out, along with the one prior to it (Survival - Badass). Other than that, I love this one better than the previous. All the different modes makes it pretty easy to get lost playing it trying to beat all the levels! (The music gets old, though.)
Got to 45 in endless on second try with Juliet-B (ela-25), 3 shadowkillers (atk-30/15/15), and a devourer (hp-500+350+200). First try got me to 27, so enough for hard badge. It really depends more on luck of the draw than which Juliet you have.
I would love mouse control. 10/10. Other than that, though, the ally system could use a bit of tweaking. I'm still getting allies under 1k, which are worthless to me, and can't seem to find anything better than what I have currently, so can't advance any further. I LOVE the idea though! It's really interesting and I just keep replaying over and over despite getting stuck. XD
I am going to play the heck out of this game, I love how many upgrades there are and being able to replay levels for RP, and the collector in my loves the achievement system. But! Is it possible to put in an option to not mute the sound when the game is out of focus? I DO appreciate that it pauses automatically! I just want the music to stay. >_> (Some won't, and that's cool too.)
Different and cute. A few suggestions for balancing: Make the level 4 shrine cost mana, thus requiring shrines to build up the mana to upgrade the shrine. Alternatively, make shrines only eliminate disasters that affect the tiles they're built on, thus requiring more shrines to complete, one on each tile type. Or some combination of the two. Still pretty good for 48 hours!
I like the tamer, it's an interesting gimmick, though the frogs are kind of useless in later waves. I did notice that you could place a tamer, surround it with animals, and then sell it and keep the animals, which amused me. My only problem is that shells aren't earned fast enough. There aren't enough levels to make grinding for improvements to try and beat the next level anything more than boring. Alternatives would be to add more achievements and make them give shell bonuses, or secret stages with larger shell payout.
Tips: 1. When you idle, leave the Catch A Snail page up. You continue to catch snails, albeit at a slower pace, but they add up over time. I woke up to over 5k snails after 8 hours, ~625 snails per hour. Auto-cook 'em, sell 'em, make a small fortune. 2. Remember everything vanishes when you leave the game. Fish, snails, burgers, bait. 3. Whack-A-Seal and Target Range are good sources of exp if you can get your combo up. 4. Do the return trip quests early. Just load, leave, reload, repeat til you've completed them all.
I'm loving this game. The only thing I'd ask for is a hover-over feature for levels that showed us what that level's star goals were, so we could determine if we were ready to attempt them without having to re-enter the level.
Many thanks, Chibale!
