Checked out the game after the latest patches. The gauntlet is still hard, but seems less random now (e.g. I had it coming when I lost a heart). You can still get stuck by bad luck, but it is less. The extra store level before the gauntlet is also nice. All in all, a pretty good improvement. The improved control over positioning for non-pawn pieces also made the mass kill options way more useful.
If you wanted the game to be a roguelike where multiple playthroughs make you get farther through increase in skill, it would need either less randomness in move choices or less randomness in upgrade choices so we can at least strategize on something. Currently, the game is all about the best tactical options with maybe thinking a few moves ahead, but you can get easily cornered at the start by drawing triple pawn.
The barracks, just like my budget, are a frustrating exercise in deciding which items I can keep in there for now and which I cannot. Does not provide the escape from real life I was hoping for.
Starts to load and then fails. In console I see multiple cross origin requests to https://web.hb.ad.cpe.dotomi.com that get blocked. Other flash games on Kong still load for me (just tested). Anyone else have this problem?
it would really help to have a button to just shoot a portal straight down. This seems to be a very important activity to get right multiple times in a row.
I get an error when trying to run the game currently: webserver.fingertactic.com uses an invalid security certificate. From what I can see it seems the certificate is currently missing. I guess you'll have this fixed after the weekend.
For the hard badge, easiest levels to get under par (for extra start) for me were second world levels 3,4,8,9,10,11,12,13,18,20. Trick is hitting the wood so it bounces on stone and back to wood.
