In-game chat does not work at all for Kongregate users. I checked on the developer's site and for some reason they specifically did this, I guess for any non-ninjakiwi users. Nowhere in the game is this explained either to subjects of these automatic and permanent chat bans nor to other players who actually get rude when you do not answer them when playing a match nor in the game lobby rooms, not knowing the game itself bans you from chatting automatically.
Great, but on "extreme," the campaign actually is impossible. The halfway mission, where you are supposed to break through the enemy Defense worlds to get at the vulnerable economic structure on the far side ... not a single one of those Defense worlds can be taken from your starting side of them. You can only score a double at most on any of them, and you cannot get any more than 55 ships, but 55 doubled is not enough to take any of them (except the smaller Defense in the upper right taht's just inside the range of another defense -- but none of your starter worlds will enable you to get a double bonus versus that world).
