2 Tips for winning - 1 - Grind it out. kill enemies of your class and get their weapons, and also their gold. - 2 - Join the mercenaries. Then, you can buy people in the shop. Merchants only provide 1 class, the swordsmen.

I have A suggestion. Add a No-Hero mode where there aren't any heroes. do not downvote this comment because of what I'm about to say, but I kinda don't like hero's

When you kill someone, you should be able to take their vehicle and sell it or use it so for example if you kill a guy on a horse you get his horse and you can sell it or saddle it up if you want to.
