Whilst it's a great timewaster and a simple concept, an issue could be raised with the increase of speed. Perhaps as a further development of your actionscript skills could be to make sure that safe zones are always within running distance of the character. This allows the player to keep on their toes because they'll know there is always a solution to every random level, no matter how fast the game gets. This can be coupled with perhaps a 'speed cap' or reducing the safe zones to 1 after a particular level.
But as a timewaster, and as one of your debut actionscript games, the simplicity has many people hooked, and so is deserving of at least a 4/5. Good work!
Can't play it.
For me it lags too much in a room with like, as little as sometimes 2 enemies.
Quality setting = Low. I press up and maybe 5 seconds later it responds, or maybe it doesnt respond at all! In the meantime, the enemies decide to pwn me.
I cant control where the catapult fires. Its almost impossible for me. :S
I'll try again later, maybe its just my brain atm. But it looks very promising. Hopefully it isnt a repeat of Epic War (which wasnt so epic)
Here's my map called Black Hole Brawl. Basically a spiral obstcacle course. Getting through the hard areas are sure to have you rewarded with big guns and nice powerups!!

Its fun, but it turns boring after a while. I do like the twist on the old-style geometry wars shooter.

Rubbish and repetitive.
Its really annoying and biased when you get to their base, almost destroy it and then suddenly the other side spawns like 80 of their best units. I can't throw out units that fast, so why can they?
In level 12, i had 300 units. 50 paladins, 50 wizards, around 100 healers and 10 cannons. All the rest were spam warriors and hobbits etc.
Then, when their base is down to 8k, they spawned 50 paladins, 50 cannons, 50 horseback crossbowmen, and 1 angel knight. the angel raygunned me, and completley wtfpwnt me.
Its unfair, and because of that it isn't fun.
