The last Alien level is ridiculous... anybody who beat it have any tips to somehow killing the Raze soldier ten times in 4 minutes (plus all his other buddies)? Average of once every 24 seconds, and that includes his respawn time. His 6x life bar or whatever it is and his spawning with a rocket launcher make that crazy. Hell, it'd be tough to just find him every 24 seconds. Do I need to save up for that flamethrower? There've been so few of those badges handed out, and I always lose on time...
@evbopper Colossus is actually weak vs. magic (exactly like your golem). It'll go quicker with ranged units that do magic damage (there are only 3, though).
To people having trouble with the flash... LOL my computer's 2 years old and it has no issues. You need to upgrade to something that isn't ancient, or quit using your good computers horribly.
It's fine, but it would be better if there was something to do with your money besides buy and sell more goods. We like money for what it can do for us. Money for its own sake is just stupid. Also, the marketplace should be sortable by the type of good, it would make things much easier. 3/5
What do you need to do to get the Flying Dutchman? I'm currently level 13 and have enough money for it, but I can't buy it yet. Maybe there's a bug with the Charisma talent? It's lowered the price to $428,687 and I have $446,000, enough to buy it at the reduced price, but not at the original $500,000. I'll try again later and see.
Also, it does eat up a lot of time. To put things into perspective, you generally need to be level 70 or above to PvP at all well. At the time of this post, the all-time high level on Kong is just level 15. OTOH, there is tons of support for newbies.
I actually played these games semi-seriously a few years back. They're incredibly involved (and you do need to learn/know how to code and obtain a good MUD program to be any good. You can also spend a ton of money on this game... there are players who have sunk upwards of $10,000 on their characters (buying artifacts, Credits, etc.). But yes, having text-based, player-run worlds is fascinating, and if you ever DO get into PvP, it's like nothing you've ever experienced before. Particularly in Imperian, which was built with PvP in mind. Way, way more difficult (and thus rewarding if you do well) than a standard MMORPG like WoW.
Not to mention that the defense squad members are mostly unnecessary. Once you have your character up and running, he should be able to do them all solo.
Hey, BFEL, did you seriously try to inject realism into the defense squad's pay and come to the conclusion that it's unrealistic for them to need money to fight? Yeah, that'd go over really well. "Hey, soldiers, we're not going to pay you anything anymore, k? Still fight for us?"
