The anime facade was almost enough to scare me away... Usually, when I see a game composed with that crap anime style I steer clear. Then I saw the top bar was in the wrong resolution for the window size and grainy. No point in trying if the devs don't try. Shouldn't have this bad of an impression a few minutes into the game.
Only problem I had was trying to back out of using a card... So I suppose for ccg enthusiasts if you touch it then you've begun playing it. Makes sense. Just a little annoying while trying to learn the rules. And I mean this in the context of deciding what orb to play an object on... I don't think it's too much to have a "back" button. Besides that, some tutorial instructions (and one continue button, game breaking) were clipped by the edge of the screen. I had to right click and view just the game frame to see the whole thing. Besides those two things I've had a cool time with the game so far.
Eh, just no incentive to play if people are winning by paying. I paid $20 for Torchlight 2 and it's loads better (obviously, not a "free" flash game). I wouldn't expect people to shell out loads of cash for what seems to me an inferior product.
I'm not sure why you guys are so pissed the game isn't "better". It's a level pack. The developers are under no obligations (by us) to crank out new, impressive stuff. I for one am glad to have 15 more levels of this awesome game and hope for better things in the future. Get over your sense of entitlement :)
We all know this is going to get achievements so just give them to us already!! Also, a little preview of the next Cursed Treasure would be appreciated! I know you guys got enough attention from the first one it's worth it :D
Must turn phone to rotate... Makes this game awful to play. Would have preferred snapping angles instead of smooth rotation ooorrr put rotate buttons in the UI.
The only problem I have is that the AI doesn't draw a hand, it plays based on your card. It's completely reactionary with the chance increasing with rank of opponent. Makes the challenges miserable because he plays the opposite of whatever you do. Fun game altogether, would like a more realistic ccg though. Multiplayer would be a win.
Freezing makes it unplayable... Quit after a couple of minutes. It kept going if I moved my finger around the screen but stops when I don't... Kind of ridiculous.
This is definitely an improvement over Gibbets. Bonus levels are a plus, overall mechanics don't seem to be messed with much (which is mostly a good thing) however sometimes you can break a rope with the ass-end of an arrow. No qualms otherwise, 5/5.
