I don't mind that this is an AdCap clone. I have a problem, however, with the lack of saving and slow progression. I might have dealt with the slow progression if saving worked. But all I did was switch windows, come back and it notified me that while I was away I made $0.00, and all of my buildings were gone. That's pretty game breaking. The slow progression of this game is never meant to be outside of a phone. This should be reformed for faster progression if you are going to post it online. Until at least the saving is fixed, it's a 1-Star, because how are you supposed to rate a game that doesn't allow you to actually play it?
This game suffers some serious design flaws. Some upgrades don't work, some don't work like they are said in the description of what they do. The collision detection is awful and you'll hit stuff in front of you even if you switch lanes. And clicking on your character too high or too low to make them drink an energy drink switches lanes, sometimes causing you to crash into an obstacle. The missile strikes make it almost impossible to see what's ahead of you at later difficulties... but aside from all of the terribleness of the game it's still enjoyable, though very grind-y. There is about 5 maps and 4 difficulties repeated over and over until you buy everything you want. If the above issues were all fixed, this would be a better game.
This was really good. I'm happy there we're awards that reward you for being bad, i.e. "Crash your car 20 times." I have to agree with the fairness of the game a bit though. It took me a few tries to get 1st place on the second to last track, even after I already got 1st place on the last track with the second best car. AI needs the ability to go off-road and crash sometimes as well. Also, as mentioned in another comment, the car bumping me and losing speed only for them to pass is a little annoying at times.
Other than the minor hiccups though, this game was pretty awesome. I was honestly sad that there wasn't more of it by the time I finished.
Keep up the good work. Definitely hoping for a sequel.
For being a first game, it's not entirely terrible.
Some suggestions though,
1.) The movement is a bit bleak. Pressing W/S with A/D always defaults to moving left or right instead of moving in a diagonal direction.
2.) Try implementing waves, that way it doesn't seem like an endless amount of enemies are just spawning at you.
3.) Work a reason for the gold you earn in the game, via skills or upgrades, even unlocking new locations might even be something to think about.
Making your old games better will help you produce better games in the future. :)
The game is obviously incomplete, but that's not the part that bothers me. The developer is obviously only caring about one thing: Profit. I understand that you work hard on a game and you want some monitization out of it... but you shouldn't be putting out an incomplete game and expecting people to buy it.
Onto the actual gameplay itself, there's no difficulty to the game at all. I felt like I was playing whack-a-mole with the enemies.
Next comes the gold. I didn't see a marketplace to use my gold that I earned... So whats the point of collecting gold if there's no use for it?
My last issue is with the achievements.
"Freeze 100 enemies with Frost Blast" ... on six levels where you fight a maximum of 8 enemies? The list goes on and on, and they are hardly "gratifying".
All in all, if you could update the speed at which the player walks and add a difficulty curve to it instead of spending your time trying to profit off of the game, you might get people to actually enjoy it.
Well, posting an unfinished game on here is going to get you a lot of bad reviews because of the players on here being of a young maturity level. I see a lot of promise in the game, just needs to be a bit more to it. Such as the crafting. Two green weapons should not craft a normal helm. Other than the character models not being implemented, the rest is pretty nice. WASD or Arrow Keys to walk would be a better improvement than holding down the mouse button (or both, since some people use laptops and mouse holding is rather annoying). A pick up all button would be nice as well. Also, the death seems to be broken, you just never die haha.
My issue with the game is that I sped through level 2 so fast... I missed the exit to the level. So I had to wait the whole 200 seconds or whatever until it timed out. Not all that happy about a wait, since you can't just restart during the game.
The gameplay itself is pretty good, however there's no point to the game. Collecting stars isn't even worth it, and it's remarkably easy to get and beat the game. Nice for a start, but it would be better to make stars harder to get and maybe add them to upgrade stuff, like new bikes, speed, stability, etc.
Not too bad for 5 minutes of play.
Good game. There is a bug though for energy. After completing the game, I decided to dig out everything (I'm a bit of a perfectionist)... and now when I try to get more energy, it doesn't subtract any money, and it doesn't give me any energy. Good news is that I got it AFTER I completed the game. Still a pretty good game, not hectic like Motherload where if you run out of energy your ship just randomly blows up. Definitely prefer this game all around. :)
