Tip for beating the Hard Badge: Get two other friends to control the other games. USB keyboards make it much easier as well as multiple monitors. I had my roommates help me beat it.
I dropped my settings all the way to the bottom, but my computer still freezes up for a quarter of a second every so often... because of the lag, the hard mode challenge becomes virtually impossible. If it wasn't for the small little freeze, I would give this game a 5. 4/5 none the less though.
Although the alternative of focusing too much on gameplay to create a enjoyable story is bad, this game is boring to me because instead of balancing, it sacrifices fun gameplay to focus on story. I have a feeling I'm going to negative points or whatever because you flash game purists will say "you just don't get it! You gotta play the whole game!" but I'm a casual gamer and this is not very fun.
I have literally no idea what I'm doing. I feel there may have been some tutorial in the short novel they threw at me right when I started but I can't be sure. Good tutorials should be engaging and interesting, not just a swarm of text that rapes anyone who tries to casually pick up the game. 2/5
Alright, WTF. I've been beating these challenges but every time it doesn't unlock the characters and stuff. I spent like 2 minutes making sure to get all 20 seconds of air time and yeah I'll finish a few minutes late, but I get it done and yet the game won't recognize the mission completion. This makes the hard badge impossible. 2/5 until it gets fixed.
Since the final bosses range is longer than yours, normal attack won't do the trick. To beat the final boss, just wait til he's in range then do the Skidoosh ability (S+A+A) which has a longer range than the others. Keep doing that until he's dead. Cakewalk.
Just got the hard badge after 2 hours or so. Tips for getting it. Get the +summons maxed out first. My combination for the last 10 stages or so on gold were Shield Golem, Healer, 5 goblins, shield golem, healer and then 3 more goblins to finish out the twelve.
I'm having problems even locating how to start the challenge mode... can somebody help me out? I literally see nothing except a bunch of "Clear"s with Adventure and Back at the top.
This game is pretty fun and I do like how simple the games components are. It makes the game very easy to learn and get used to. My only problem is when playing on hard mode, the random chance factor can play way too big a role on whether I complete a wave or not. Many times I've had a guy just die out of the blue because the random chance threw too many monsters his way and he got overwhelmed. This all becomes very annoying when I'm trying to get my hard badge. 3/5 for frustration, but other than that a very solid game.
Alright... I just beat the entire game in one sitting... I hope that continuous play endurance badge was worth it. Wait... there is a continuous play endurance badge isn't there??!
I finally beat the last level of the adventure mode after roughly 20 tries... and I don't feel like I really won but rather that the game's randomly generated sequence of attacks LET me win... 2/5 for frustrating game play based mostly on random consequences.
When trying to do a timed badge... the little 5 second cutscene where they show the penguin boss really can be super annoying and then I finish at like 182 and all I can think is how much I HATE THAT CUTSCENE!
when those prices drop, really take advantage of them. I was buying and buying every time the prices dipped below 30 and I ended up 141 million points. The hard badge is pretty easy so long as you manage risk and always buy up huge quantities of opium at low prices.
The mouse click control is really difficult to use. I end up jumping over more food than I eat. A spacebar jump would be more universal and easier to use for this kind of game.
