So there's lots of things wrong with this. Plenty of others have pointed that out already. The worst part of this game, for me, was that you started the game with all upgrades. Part of the fun of previous games has been seeing what the upgrades do for you, but you basically spoiled the ending and it took out one of the most enticing parts of the game. Not your best, man.

I'm pretty easy to please, and I could definitely sit here and click mindlessly all day. I like "pop groups of stuff" games, but there's lots of those and I like that this one has little emphasis on me needing to make smart moves. I just get to click stuff forever and it's different and I like it. That being said, this game could be better and it just isn't. I like the concept, I like the design, I like the skills and the setup. But there's just no progression. Smash monster, idle for a while, level up a bit, click the next zone. Then for some reason when I beat the zone I start over, at zero, with no bonus or perks. When I start a new area, if I start back at level 1 I should at least get some kind of bonus right? That's how incremental games keep from getting stale. This one has no staleness protection.

You keep your multiplier when you start over which allows you to level up quicker, but I hear you. I'm starting work on a second form of progression for the game.

I feel like this game is really good, but I also feel like it isn't. The system is fun, the setup is fun, trouncing a million blocky enemies is fun. I like the upgrades available, I like what the elemental powers do for attack and defense and the research tree. But I feel this game gets worse as you go on in waves. You should feel more powerful as you go, stomping blocks into pixel dust beneath your mighty tower as you face more and more challenging waves. But I feel you hit a climax of power around wave 20 - 25 and then barely gain enough resources to stay with the curve until you eventually die minutes later. I think the late game needs some rebalancing before I can love this game.

Alright Dev, I see you adjusted the balance so hobbies will go "faster" and I get that you think that helps, but here's the thing. A straight up exponential equation is not going to solve this problem. You reduced it from 1.7x to 1.4x, and without redoing the math from my last post I'm just going to put that with a 6x prestige multiplier and 16x diamond multiplier, level 49 to 50 will take 52 days. A marked improvement from a thousand years, yeah? But 89 to 90 takes 100331 years. And to spoil your next plan, at an exponent of 1.1 I could complete the game in just a couple hours, but at 1.25 it would take about 4 years still. Hope I'm helping. Just kidding. You stopped reading last month.

Tagline to catch your eye: Level 49 to level 50 will take 186,342.45 years with no multiplier, and 1941.07 years with a 6x prestige and the 16x diamond multiplier. Now let's see how I got there, yeah? Math time! I only tested this with the dancing hobby but I assume they're all either the same or similar enough where it doesn't matter. Level 0 to 1 takes 30 seconds, 1 to 2 takes 50 seconds, 2 - 3 takes 86 seconds, 3 - 4 takes 147 seconds, 4 - 5 takes 250 seconds, 5 - 6 takes 425 seconds. Using this, it's easy to find that the time from one level to the next is 1.7x as much as the level before it. So you can calculate the time to a level with the equation 30(1.7^x)=y. Plug in 49 for x and you'll find my answer in the first sentence. Level 89 to 90, to reach Wizard status, will take you 307.8 trillion years with no multiplier. This is reduced to only 3.2 trillion years with the 6x prestige and 16x diamond multiplier. I'm out of characters or I'd make a quip about heat death.

When jumping off one of those long rails that curves upward, I often just crash immediately and fall. I've also had issue with: The falling 100 meters in one run being exceptionally harder than every other challenge in the game, the fact that every trick you unlock after the Front Flip makes you do the Front Flip tutorial, and the "tricks" tutorial makes you do a 360 off of jumps that are nowhere near high enough to do a 360 off of.

I get to be the top score until some good players come along and crush me into dust. For the mean time, how I got it! Double shield recharge + Lancer + double damage/half firing speed + whatever you want for the core. Don't worry about collecting dollarmoneys. Kill enemies for the combo multiplier, and every once in a while let a boss spawn. Kill the boss for massive points. Only shoot when necessary! Let your shield recharge quickly to take most of the hits, and shoot every once in a while when your lance is ready. It's useful for taking out tanks or lines of enemies, and the double damage is lovely and allows for more time spent recharging the shield.

All of those buttons in the upper left are too big. They need to be much smaller so that they are not in the way of selecting towers. Also, like many subpar tower defense games, there's a significant balance gap between the towers. Hearing the same screech from 10,000 dinosaurs as they die each round is exceptionally annoying, as well. This needs improvement; it's unimpressive in most regards.

I think this desperately needs a fast forward button. I also feel like sending a wave early doesn't give enough of a benefit to justify doing it. I sent all the waves as fast as I could on stage one and was getting like 3 to 5 gold for it. I haven't had to use anything except archer towers. I used mage towers just to see how spells were, and found them unnecessary. I also found that the damage upgrade for archer towers improves DPS significantly over the speed upgrade, and haven't found a good reason to do a speed upgrade at all. I like the game, because I'm a sucker for tower defense, but I think it needs some overall polish and balance improvements before it leaves beta. Also, why do I have to lock in my upgrade before I can see the next skill in the tree? Most games let you see the upgrade tree as you go so you can plan ahead instead of being committed to an upgrade tree and having no idea where it might lead. Just food for thought. 3/5 as is, could be significantly improved.

Wow, somehow you managed to ignore every complaint about the last 3 games, and introduce NEW problems like ball-crushingly bad lag, the unresponsiveness, and having to sit there for ten seconds and watch a bunch of nothing after you try to upgrade something. You just keep churning out garbage. The first one was a good first attempt, but you continue to NOT learn from your failures which is why this game, as a series, is terrible.

You added medals, and points for receiving medals, but there is no way to check medals or see how many points you have or even know if there's a purpose to the points. Confusing update, friend. Loved this game as much as the first.

The monster at the end is the ski free monster. In the original ski free, if you made it far enough, he would kill you, and it was impossible to avoid him killing you. I love the homage, very well placed.

This is a significant improvement over the previous entries. The gameplay flows much more smoothly, the removal of checkpoints is fantastic, and it overall just feels like an improvement. I was wary at first, "Ugh, another Cyclomaniacs," but I'm glad I gave it a try. I was wrong to scoff at it and this is the best one yet. Excellent! 5/5
