It took me 4.5 hours of continuous play to get the medium badge using Joe (2x projectile count) with two Sawed-Offs and two Uzis. I focused on Health to tank my way through. Secondary focus was on Attack Speed, then Damage. Quite a tedious BoTD!
Loads in Firefox (with secure site protection disabled). Some say that IE i(n InPrivate mode) works, too. Doesn't load in Chrome, Edge, Safari, Opera, etc.
Finally got the badge! My eyes are watering and my brain is right on the edge of seizing up, but I got it, by Gawd! :D
And, as hugoooo said earlier, the number and timing of horizontal lasers is all down to luck. In my final try, I didn't get any horizontal lasers at ground level, so all I had to do was move left and right. Otherwise, I probably would still be playing this dang game!
@ktrout42... The text in the last few cutscenes talks about the water from the fountain being able to extend a person's life. Then, she says "Hold on a bit longer. I'll see you soon, Dad." So, it sounds like the water is meant to extend the life of her dying Dad.
That seems like a positive gesture, not a creepy one. The big boobs are just incidental.
Well, they were right. You can get the medium badge by playing "a few minutes a day". But what they don't tell you is that it takes weeks of logging into the slowest, most tedious, least imaginative game on Kong! Thank Jeebus it's finally over; now I never have to think about this travesty ever again.
@katstone719: Click on "View High Scores" in the Achievements tab, then click on "Friends". Your highest level completed should show up there. Or, click on the "High Scores" tab (below the game window) and you'll see "Your Best Score". Take a screenshot of either one.
When exiting from options using the Esc key, the game crashes out with the following message: "Security Error: Failed to read the 'localStorage' property from 'Window': Access is denied for this document."
Starting Nov. 21, I can't get past the loading screen, either. I get an error message in both Firefox and Chrome: "An embedded page at redshift.clipwiregames.com says: An error occured running the Unity content on this page." followed by "Uncaught abort" or "InvalidStateError".
It seems like there are canned hams in half of the suitcases, crates, and cupboards that I search. Also, when I hack a zombie, a canned ham flies out. Was there a sale on canned hams before the zombie apocalypse? :)
It always amuses me how you can walk into the HERC base in full riot gear, a submachine gun strapped to your back, and a Samurai sword in your hands... and the soldiers don't even bat an eye. :)
After Danger Level 70, use L20 Rifle Guns; they have much higher HP than lasers. Rifle Gun range & fire rate increase as they level up. On later DLs, huge whelp swarms easily kill lasers. Missiles are too slow. * Support Call is the key! * Get it to lvl 3; buy 2 at first; then 2 more as you get rid of collectors & fuel tanks. You only need one upgraded fuel (33+ units) to get to the boss. * After DL 70, loot is useless (except Alien Guns); weapons are maxed & homemade guns are weak. * My strategy: Alien Guns in rows 1 & 2; Rifle Guns in rows 3 & 4; row 5 (left to right): cabin/collector/Support Call/Support Call/Alien Gun/Support Call/Support Call/fuel/collector. Yes, four Support Call 3s; click them as you ram the boss & they'll often kill it before it does much damage. Cabin on the left keeps it out of the reach of the swinging-arm boss. I went from DL 49 to 132 (end boss) with this setup. Replace Rifle Guns with Alien Guns as you go. Good luck! :)
I'm disappointed with Kong's decision to make this a BoTD. I got the badge after following the steps in askon's comment (in the "BEST" section above). But, these were extra steps that nobody should be expected to perform for a measly 5 points.
The "Strike" ability needs to be smarter! I'm baffled how an opponent could have several cards with only one health point and I could have three cards with "Strike", yet they shoot randomly at cards with two points or more. In those cases, the opponent's forces could be whittled down in seconds if "Strike" concentrated on the weakest cards.
