I would say a lot better than a lot of other "first game I ever made" games. I also have to say that a lot of one button platformers can learn from the fact that you actually allow any button to be that one button.
Fun little game, I remember playing something similar, with the exact same graphics and stuff. Maybe you made that too who knows, I forgot the name. The only thing I didn't really like was the somewhat lack of an ending. Maybe it would have been better if I had any idea who the green guy was.
This was pretty good, I especially loved the voice acting. It's not often you get voice acting, and good voice acting at that, in many of the games on here.
Screw the rules, I played it in chrome and did fine. Although I may have just adjusted to the lag. Anyway, this game was pretty fun, I love rhythm heaven and this seems like a good emulation. I like the style and perhaps I'll come back and play without chrome to see if I'm any better at it.
It's actually very possible to use Chrome if you're getting lag, just go to chrome://plugins and disable the plugin with 'PepperFlash' in the location. If there isn't another flash player there already (there should be though) you'll have to install it from the adobe website. Glad you liked the game!
My only major complaint is the walking speed, you should be able to go faster than he does, but I can see it's use in a couple levels. Other than that the concept was good, you could probably make it better with different choices, a better art direction definitely and some more interesting level designs. I did like the things that somewhat played the level for you, but they took a bit too long and without being able to see anything it gets a bit boring. It held my attention to the end, so that's good, and apparently I am blank of all emotions.
When you mean not being able to see anything do you mean the camera function or its too small and you would prefer if you could see MORE of the surroundings...and thank you for your reply, its always nice to see what could have been improved...what worked/what failed :)
It's a pretty good game, neat concept which I liked. One question though. Is level 21 actually possible to do. I can get almost 3/4 of the way through, if I'm lucky and pretty much flawless.
Well I spent about 2 hours on the desolate plains (I think stage 7?) but I don't think I'll ever make it past there. Perhaps someday I'll come back to this, wiser and more talented, ready to face down the undead with a new outlook on life, but until that day I admit defeat. Also, congratulations on Washington's Wig.
Well I've been playing this for a few days now and I'm just upset to see how few plays it has. This is, in my opinion, one of the best games on kongregate. I love difficult platformers like these, especially with the added challenge of medals for time. The graphics are good and make it easy to understand all the mechanic, although maybe bad for the colorblind. I have also discovered that all the times are achievable and you don't need computer-like reflexes to get gold. I've managed to get 86 gold medals so far, I don't know if I'll keep trying for the last few though. 5/5
Like others say, you need to add friction, it's just too slippery although I assume you wanted it that way as some levels need to be solved by sliding around. If you retweak it, it could be fun, I did manage to beat all the levels though.
Really fun, but the last few levels are incredibly hard. I died over 500 times on the last level alone, before I beat it. But it was worth, I have the only score. Woot.
