Meh... not sure why this is considered "unapologetically hard", it took me a bout 5 mins and it was way too easy for a hard badge, especially considering that using a walkthrough would make it about 1 minute long. 3/5
Hated the controls at first but I warmed up to them, I still never use the offsets. The Loki/excaliber combo is simply unstoppable and it would be fun to have some challenging levels to really test it out. Good gameplay, loved the broken English. 4/5
Good fun although it's pretty frustrating to get the hard badge. I finally got it but the once you're in hyper speed from the golden gun its just a matter of luck whether you hit a spike or not. Needs something like hedgehog launch's radar that gets skill involved. Final run: 4.45mil ft with $780k from cash bags for a total of $1.22mil, used 61 nukes. 4/5 but I wish I could give it a 3.5/5.
Really enjoyed this game. Good simple gameplay and good level design. I went through it pretty thoroughly and my only regret is that there are still five darklings out there left to kill and no more white magic. 5/5
Lame. If you're going to make a game that's been done before, don't make it way worse than the ones you're copying. A few issues: 1) level design is SUPER weak, flat with a hill here or there? Give us some stuff to jump on. 2) White bullets with harmless white snow falling and a white background? Weak. 3) Ok, the chainsaw uses ammo, I can deal with that, but it burns through ammo way too fast making it worthless as a primary weapon. 4) Level 23 boss is only beatable if you keep him off screen and shoot from far away. I could go on, but I don't care. Got all the badges, next time I want a shoot-em-up fix, I'll load up Thing-Thing. 2/5
The impossible badge is definitely attainable. I took my first hit on the level 8 boss my first time playing. Unfortunately the game isn't fun enough to justify the multiple frustrating attempts that would be necessary. 3/5
Pretty cool and I'm a total sucker for samurai. I guess its my own fault but I keep ending up off screen after an attack, couldn't you make the level scroll with the character instead of having to scroll independently?
Oh why couldn't Achilles have just died? Don't get me wrong, this is much better than Achilles was, but the original Warlords was a great game and to taint it with Achilles makes me sad.
A lot of the challenges are really about luck and no matter how good your strategy is it really just comes down to what cards you and your opponents are given (which is stupid). Having said that, it's the easiest impossible badge on this site, just keep trying until you get lucky.
Mediocre overall, 2/5
Has potential but poorly executed. You're rewarded for taking a long time on the levels? What the heck is that about, shouldn't it be the other way around? Thank god for the "make your own autofire" option, otherwise I would never have bothered.
I thought this game was OK for the first five minutes of playing and then I realized its incredibly boring and repetitive and the fighting system is horrible. One hit kills one guy while the next takes eight hits, really? Arrows fired from off-screen that you don't have time to block? And god forbid you get to close to an opponent where you can't hit them but they can sure hit you. Also if there is more than one archer on the screen you're pretty much screwed. All and all one of the worst games to get badges ever. The only redeeming quality is the noise when you kick someone.
Got all the badges, plan on never playing again. 1.5/5
