keep dying on level 1 due to the flash bug with firefox that ignores input for about 2 seconds at a time periodically.probably a decent game but can't play it to find out. ಠ_ಠ adobe
There's a problem in your main game loop somewhere. every now and then it stops accepting keyboard input and keeps the ship moving along the same vector for a brief period. Other than that, this is a rather long game as far as flash games go, and the enemies don't change much throughout. The story isn't terribly engaging til the end, and there is a lot of it if you decide to read it. 3/5.
not bad. good difficulty curve, but it needs to have a higher end on it. the last wave is pathetic, compared to the weapons you're using, even without RBEMP and invincibility. Suggestions: bosses at the end of waves. doesn't need to be every wave, but maybe every other or every fifth or something. More shoulder weapons. perhaps a piercing shot kind of weapon
Not bad. Jump animations could be smoother, especially landings. Graphics:4/5.
Controls were good, but double-tap-to-dash would occasionally trigger on a simple direction change, and sometimes wouldn't trigger on a solid double-tap. The variety of attacks was interesting, but all I really used was the basic combo and the block+attack combo. I would like to see spell integration in the combos as well, perhaps tack a lightning spell on the end for an explosive finish or something. Controls:4/5
Gameplay and story were both top notch. You used gameplay as a means of advancing a well written story. Kudos, 5/5, 5/5.
Overall: 4/5 Controls are something that need to be done perfect, every time, since they're how the player interacts with the game. If everything else is top notch, poor controls ruin the immersion (not that these are poor, but they weren't quite perfect), and thus put a damper on the players experience.
Great game, good controls, and very playable. On my system it has a tendancy to lag just a tiny bit very rarely, just enough to kill me, but still a great game
solid game, only thing that upsets me about it is the platforms don't have uniform physics. Sometimes I jump expecting to be able to jump through one, and it stunts my jump. I try again from a slightly higher platform and I make it through just fine. A platform needs to always behave the same, regardless where you jump from.
I don't have any issue with the ninjas and smoke bomb anymore. There is certainly a definitive stratagem for dealing with them. What gives me trouble are the Assassins. They can dodge while frozen, they can dodge meteor, they can make it to my gems before anything touches them while i've exhausted my mana firing off meteors hoping one will hit him. They need to be fixed.
Hotkeys would be a nice addition, for building towers as well as spells. Also, I killed an enemy as he was leaving with a gem and it glitched the game. it now thinks that there is always an enemy on screen still, even after all waves have completed, so i cannot finish the level with a win despite having killed everything.
turret AI is retarded. ignores enemies that are going to destroy your base in favor of the highest class of enemy in range, resulting in death more often than not. 2/5
not a bad take on the kitten cannon concept. I like the idea of different characters with different stats, but other than that it's something of a rip. 4/5 for cool dialogue, the few new elements, and that Berzerk twist.
don't know what locks888 is talking about. only 1 difficulty setting, and once you get all 3 turrets to the 2k models you only need to shoot the 3 largest enemies. 3/5 for difficulty
unlimmited power missiles doesn't fire until i pick up a power missile bonus. Also, if i pickup a reg missile bonus when the reg missiles run out it doesn't switch to my power missile supply.
level 4 may require a slightly different strategy than the preceeding ones, however it and the ones after it are very much doable. not hard at all. 3/5
not bad except for the random physics. I could sit and try the same configuration and it would eventually work, even after 7 iterations. I do like the variety in equipment, however. Also, if you click reset before all your bombs finish exploding you glitch it out, removing all your bombs from the screen and having you in the editor, but you will have no points to replace your bombs with and need to hit reset a few more times until it clears out. over all I give it a 4/5
you heal after every trip, however you won't heal if you flee from an encounter before you go to battle. for instance if you run into an enforcer party and flee you won't heal until your next town.
