An important tip for hard maps such as August 10: Defend choke points! If you let the creeper get to open ground, your lasers will be less efficient. On the Aug. 10 Map, the crepper will flow down three valleys: North-West, Center and South. You need to rush blasters to all three valleys. If the creeper gets past those choke points, it will slowly envelop you.
Its a cool Idea and nice artwork, but it suffers from starting every missionwith a clean slate. True I get updates, but I dont really see them. Every missions feels similar: Strap on weapons, click, wait for enemy to die. Nice idea, but theres too little actual gameplay.
Very frustrating. Might have been a good one if it weren't for some bad design choices:
- nothing except yourself is destructible. Someplane hit me 5 or 6 times before i was able to shake them off.
- The storm clouds like to double shock you
- the speed-gates are deathtraps, because if you touch the edge, it will send you out of control
- even with max maneuvering, the rocket is insanely sluggish.
And why on earth would you want to disable the engine to be able to steer better? It is a rocket, without an engine ist does not steer anywhere.
Also, as soon as the engine is off, the rocket decelerated immediately to 0. There seems to be no momentum.
You don't need an exploit (not killing the enemy wave) to beat the last level. Just build windmill, castle, barracks first, then build the 2nd economy upgrade.
For the first enemy wave, build 3 macemen. The build the monastery. Start training 1 high priest for every 2 maceman. You should have 7 macemen and 3 priests in the end. This army can withstand all the enemy throws at you (though you do have to replace the macemen from time to time, they do die).
Build a workshop, upgrade priests and macemen, build a watchtower, research teleskope.
After that, you are set and can buil up you base and get captains/general.
You still have to be fast though.
Its a nice game, but the Creeper is just too easy to defeat. One Blaster at the spawnpoint and it can not spawn anymore. Does the creeper get any new tricks in the full version?
I just beat "The mount" by just completely killing the creeper. Two blasters directly at the spawn point and the battle was over. Needed a lot of buildup though
