Once again there's a Papa's game that is decent, playable, etc...but still lacks separate sound effects and music buttons. I really don't understand why this is such a big deal. Give us one button so we can hear alarms and bells, another so we can turn off music.
A trick for the harder levels, especially the snake one: put all the pieces in to fill in the puzzle, eve if they aren't the right ones; watch for aligning pieces and connect them until you can pick out a piece of the animation loop. It'll make things infinitely easier.
As with many of Flipline's other games, I would strongly suggest TWO sound buttons. One to regulate the *music*, and another to regulate the *sound effects*.
After playing for a few days, I have to say that this is a great game! Good pacing, lengthy (but relevant) tutorial, and fun intricacies!
If there was one addition to be made, I would ask that you be able to *cancel a rally*. PLEASE. It's been more than once in which I've accidentally clicked "Rally" and wasted a 20 or 25 rally count...
The controls are inaccurate, there's no button to move from the end of a run directly into another... Points for a creative plot premise, but besides that, it still feels like a beta.
Forcibly running Peakot into solid object to hear the sound effect makes me feel like a bad person until he misses stunning an enemy. Then it's just revenge.
I've been playing for about five minutes and I already feel like this is something that belongs on Facebook. Encouraging people to "share" this game on Kongregate is only adding to the conflict that Kongregate is *not* Facebook and that users don't want to be bombarded with invites. The pop-ups are virtually assaulting me and they tend to pile up on each other.
The one redeeming point I will make is that the layout well enough, the map is intriguing, and the overall concept is solid. The approach is just wrong.
This is a wonderful game! Besides a few kinks, such as when one reels in and you can't cast, it's a lot of fun. A solid concept that is both casual and more hard core, it offers a wide range of fun for users across the spectrum. I would agree with what a few other users have said in that it would be nice to have more upgrades, such as poles, boats, even out fits might be a nice perk. This may be a bit nit picky, but I would love to have the option of choosing between genders. Is it possible that a female character can be created as well?
All in all, I liked it! I hope it sees the front page of Kongregate with achievements in the future!
Depending on the general reaction that this fishing experiment gets, I was hoping to go further with the concept with custom characters, customized rods lures and bait (including color, scent, etc), and maybe even a map where you get to pick the location and the game constructs the background and fish types for you based on your choice (so rare fish don't so much spawn less frequently, as they only spawn if you pick the correct spot on the map, etc).
I have big plans for the sequel/follow-up if it takes off :)
Yes , Scootter. In fact, there are people that actually derive joy from down grading others comments. Apparently it's an empty attempt to improve one's self esteem through the degredation of another. Or the comment might just be a pointless comment. It is all a matter of opinion.
You know, after so many games, I'm surprised that they haven't made two separate buttons for music and sound effects. Hopefully that will be integrated into the next game.
@jaks88 You do unlock something every time you level up. It alternates between a new weapon and a new map (weapons on even levels, maps on odd levels).
This is amazing!! Thank you! You have everything from Robyn to Mozart to Dragonforce. To be honest, I use this to study to more than anything else... So juxtapose to be studying and playing a game at the same time...
Level 25 has a glitch. I jumped "into" the free-floating box on the far bottom-left side. Now Stu just sits and shivers back and forth. No rest for Stu.
Right now, I am at a complete loss as to how I'm suppose to get to the floating island in the sky. Can anyone help me out on this? I've tried running and jumping from the pillars in the previous sections, but that hasn't worked very well.
I found a glitch which won't allow me to go beyond the Qualifying Final in the Advanced League. I have a strength duck that is maxed out in energy, running, climbing, swimming, and flying, but whenever I get to the ledge were my duck is suppose to jump from in the Qualifying Final, it freezes. Sometimes other ducks freeze as well. Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks for the compliment and suggestion! We'll add "cancel rally" to the list of things we'll take a look at.
