I'm not usually one to point out other people's mistakes, but at the time of this writing 57 of you seem to agree that the author's use of banter is incorrect. However, I think you'll find that the author did indeed do the research. Used as an INTRANSITIVE verb, banter can mean; "to speak or 'act', playfully or wittily" You can verify this at; http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/banter I did a little more research and found that Princeton University agrees with this as well; http://wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=banter So please, before throwing someone under the bus for what they write, do your research first. ~thankyoupleasedrivethru~

And finally, from an old school gamer who HAS played and finished the games from which the characters derived; 5/5
Don't know if this is a bug or not, but after using a continue at 8-1 and choosing Mega-man, I started the level and the ground was missing. lol I fell to my death! The good news was that the floor had returned on my next life.
flower + samus = ftw

blah, last comment, as I'm off for the night, but I just want to correct my math from the last comment. 4-500sc lower is how it shows after I made my weapon upgrade. Regardless, I'm sure you'll get it all under control soon. :) And with that, I bid thee adieu.
Another thing, in the upgrade shop, before I made my first purchase, the prices were all 1337. I bought the weapon upgrade first and the prices of everthing else showed up as 3-400sc lower, but they still cost 1337sc to buy. ;)
Just for reference, I found that the only way to get the slot off of the screen when idling is to return to town, re-enter the game shop and then click on back. (hehehe, I thought of this little bug as stickman stealing the slot machine!) Talk about gaming on the go!
Also, great work so far. :)
Hey lobstershow, I have a couple of comments about the latest release of shi3. (1) When you're in the game room, at the city, you can click on map and go back to your area. Not a big thing, but what is, is that the slots stay on screen. I'm currently idling while I gamble! lol (2) Just a suggestion to keep in mind; make it so that if you click on one of the menu buttons. 'menu, map, options, etc', and after you select something from the window that opens up, the window closes for you, rather than having to reclick map, or options, or etc.

You are a 'questionable' 'porn star' who likes to 'misunderstand' 'door knobs'. What?! lol

uhm. linux, not linus. lol
mindaugas1000: I didn't see anywhere where there was an answer for your question. This IS SHI2. The version number doesn't determine the what you are thinking. It is used to show how many patches and fixes have been made to the game since it's first release. For example, when I'm writing software on my linus developer, it shows the first release as being version 0.1. If I fixed or added to it, then it would be 0.2, and that number would increase with each fix/patch/update. (In my windows developer, I have it set to show as version 1.0 for the original) Does this make sense? :)

I'm just curious, but has anyone every given a reason as to why the NaN problem happens? I know that there has been a lot of speculation about it, but I never saw anything that explained how and why. I just lost my second file, and after I just managed to get the royal armor. It's not a big deal, I'm just wondering what the status is on that particular problem. (I also understand that Lobster has his time filled with the third part in this series, but I had noticed that another developer offered to take a look at this in order to find/fix the problem) Well, in the meantime, back to the ole drawing board. :)

Awww.. :( What happened with the scrolling background that was in the last build?

Nah, I won't cry about the autolooter. I like it, personally. However, I am shedding tears about my lost character. lvl 482, with slightly higher str, and maxed def... all gone. :( Back to the ole drawing board.

So um, yeah. Played through again and instead of spending the 17k I had after first boss, I saved to 20k and got the multi-shot. It all became a little easier at that point, so n/m my previous comments. :) 4/5
Hmm, just realized I had an either/or statement. The 'or' would be to give a bigger cash bonus for the boss, to allow for a couple of upgrades (which it does) + enough for a few 500 hp restores.
BIG problem! After the first boss, the damage I was dealing seriously decreased. Enemies were suddenly taking one more hit to kill, which was silly because of the damage upgrades I had purchased. There either needs to be a balance here, such as a bigger cash prize for the suddenly tough enemies, to make this worth it beyond this point....imho. 3/5
Hmm, When I arrived at the old man's hideout, using Kiro, I only had Shuriken for weapons. (Other than his sword, that is) I was expecting the sword to pop through the peephole, into the eye of the baddie, but I guess that wasn't in the vision. I just wonder where Kiro got that pistol from? ;p
