As it says in the instructions, all cards need to be of a *single* suit :) So a J of spades, Q of Hearts, K of Clubs *does* = 10 as you will only score from one suit. J, Q, A of the same suit would give 31 points.
As with any card game luck does come into play, but you're cards are never fixed (though the computer has been known to cheat a little on expert!). Remember, the longer you leave it before stopping the bus, the higher chance the opponents will have of a good hand. Stopping it earlier with a lower total can work for you (though you'll get less score).
Hope this helps!
Right, new version should be live.
It will show mistakes on Casual mode.
On regular/expert, it will only highlight clashes (i.e. 2 numbers the same in a cell/row) It won't tell you which is right tho - that's for you to figure out :)
Keyboard shortcuts:
You can use 1-9 to choose a number, shift-number is the same as shift-click.
the show single now toggles, so press it again & it shows them all again.
Fiddled around with difficulty levels - they now have a par time for each puzzle, and should be more consistent (there were some expert that should have been regular before & vice versa), so all the regular & expert puzzles have changed. More puzzles for you to do! Yay!
Scores have been boosted, so doing the new puzzles will get you more points.
Please post any problems you find or more suggestion,
Enjoy!
Many thanks for the comments so far - we always like to release here first as you guys give great quality feedback :)
We should get an updated build up soon with more keyboard shortcuts, hide/reshow with shift, and it will not show wrong answers on regular/hard (you should know what you are doing on those!).
Thanks for all the comments!
We are looking at the whole timer thing, current plan is to change it to a bonus counter that ticks down, so if you complete it in under 2 minutes you get extra points, if you are slower you.. um... get less points but it won't end the game.
How does that sound?
Just uploaded a new version with a map screen/progress so you can continue where you left off & get a go at the tougher levels.
Please give comments & suggestions!
Thanks for the comments all, some useful things there! I've fixed the casual and regular mode scores appearing the wrong way round & we're looking at adding some kind of map/progress & a game save soon.
