You might want to optimize your build, Lunestar. I made it to 4,135,083 feet with only 70 nukes. Don't aim the tank barrel too high, and make sure you fire your golden gun when the turtle loses momentum (when it moves to the center of the screen).
The music sounds a lot like a song from Top Gear on the SNES.

I figured out you have to press J to use the Targeting towers, and they are really useful for long range combos, but I don't know anything about the above questions. They aren't included in the link provided two posts down, either.
