This is one of the most frustrating games I've ever played. So many obstacles, and bumping into them will aim you straight at the ground half the time. The missions seem like a nice idea, but then the target has a blimp humping it when you get there, or having swerved neatly onto a target past three choppers, your next target is so far back the way you came as to be impossible, given the momentum you have. I wish I'd never started.
The changes to stress in dungeons is a huge improvement, and I liked these games already! Also pleased that combat runs more smoothly and quickly than it used to. 5/5
Why have a limit on lives before a game over, when all that means is that you go to the main menu and lose no progress? Not that I think you should, but if not, then why not reset number of lives at the start of every level?
Great fun, and very excellently manages to fill the screen with stuff, while never once confusing enemies and not-enemies, a feat in a game with this many bullets and points!
Game pausing on losing focus is a nuisance, when you're just waiting to build up cash to build the next required amenity. Either make paying attention worthwhile, or don't pause while I'm typing this comment, for example...
Defensive seems a little overpowered... once you upgrade all your dudes heat tolerance and ammo a bit (or get bayonets), they can just butcher all day.
A reminder in basic probability to people: if you have a 50% chance to hit, then the chance of you getting 5 misses in a row is 1 in 32, which is far from impossible.
@sammiege: I've been downvoting the comments critical of payments because they're dull. There's been payments in larger flash games for more than a year, and this game doesn't have paygating: you can finish the game without paying. I don't think I'm the only person who's doing so.
Tank, Golden Gun, get to 2 million ft, spam nukes for 5 minutes going to 2999410ft... and get grabbed by an alien while offscreen. Awesome.
Will I sit through another ten minutes of this crap?
When I find myself at risk of dozing off during a boss fight, maybe you could consider either putting touch more variety into their attacks, or reducing their hp? As it is, after the first minute, it's just a matter of not making a mistake as you wait for then to die, which isn't exactly exciting.
Awesome! I'd like to say that the origins of stock market greed go way back, before even the great depression... Maybe a sequel set during the South Sea Bubble?
