I've found one of the events that seemingly makes all the workers reset in a category - whenever you lose people to wolves when they go out hunting. The 'My lord, our hunters report that the expedition' paragraph, if that helps in any way to troubleshoot it.
I've tweaked the population loss a bit. The first ones to go are still the food people if you have no available villagers, but your available villagers will die first so, after a while, you won't have more than 1-2% of your population unassigned
Dunno if its just my game having some kind of weird bug or not, but when placing extractors they don't seem to be exactly 'square'; they seem to bulge the tiniest big in the centre of each extractor. Might help those struggling with the placements for more then 4 generators, if it's supposed to work this way. Record for me so far is 6.
Disregard my last comment, my farmers passive heal upgrade was throwing off my observations. The passive upgrade is simply weirdly worded; healing up to 8 allies refers to the fact it only applies to units in a box-shape around the Cleric itself. Sorry about that.
Clerics don't heal without any skills, and from what I've experienced they seem to have a range of roughly 2 squares away from them for the passive heal upgrade (so directly adjacent, and one further out.) Might want to note that somewhere in future, if possible.
Figured I'd put in a quick comment just to say that turning 'off' the quality actually stops the screen from shaking when you land critical hits (or at least it has for me.) Hope this helps if you're having trouble with it.
And since I just posted my annoyances, thought I should also post to say I completed the level finally. Almost immediately after posting my last message. Squeaky wheel gets the grease it seems.
I'm not usually one for posting comments, but for how many bloody times I've had the exact same trouble in this one game I'm gonna. In level 3 of the game, the characters are constantly sticking to the smaller platforms (as in they refuse to jump, no matter how much time they're given on each platform) ; making me constantly fall either in-front of longer lines of enemies, or directly into the middle of them in some cases.
Pretty much either case is a 'run over' scenario for me, when as far as I can tell (because I've never gotten to the end of level 3 with more then 2 1/2 cats left, due to constant bugging) I'm strong enough at this point to finish level 3. Dunno how you could fix my problem specifically, unless it's due to the memory leak, but wanted to share my annoyances over the last few hours (I've been stuck on this same level for hours now. Fun,) with something or someone.
... I dunno if anyone's said this, but I think this is the first game I've played on Kongregate that I'd prefer to be playing somewhere else, rather then the other way around.
Why remove the preview bar from this version, but leave others perfectly intact? I'm completely at a loss.
I dunno if it's been said yet, but turning down the music and special effects to 'zero' doesn't actually seem to mute the game completely. There's this background wind-like effect they've included that doesn't seem to be affected at all by either option.
