RNG determines everything in this game. What cards you get, how much money you earn per level (because you can't always complete it fast enough), what options you get for upgrades. It's terrible and I absolutely hate how I'll have to rely on pure luck to earn the impossible badge.
Gold should be set per level (not based on speed) and I wouldn't complain if upgrade options were predetermined or formulaic as well. That simple fix would make this game much more enjoyable to play.
This game is terribly balanced. It takes days of idle time to earn enough gold for only a couple of upgrades and, even then, you can maybe only get one stage further. At this point, the medium badge will take several weeks to obtain.
Just finished the game and I'd like to say that it was very enjoyable. However, there were a few things that I noticed that need to be fixed.
-After you make it through Year 0, the year is always the same number as the month
-Power down moves on opponents appear to stack (Intentional?)
-Power down effects on opponents last forever, even after the symbol is gone
-Power down does not affect poison moves used against you
-Training does not cost any activity points (Intentional?)
-The practice option while training uses up one week each time you practice
-The "Learn _ Skill(s)" achievements don't work
-The experience bar will sometimes show two sets of your numbers with the second set slightly lower than the first
-My accuracy remained at 60% the entire game (Intentional?)
These were very small problems and didn't really cause any negative feelings. I'm just trying to point out the bugs I saw. For now, I'd give this game a 4/5 only because of the bugs. Otherwise, this was a great game.
Either the Crazy Challenge Level is broken or you really hate us. The AI's are getting extra units to place for no reason and it makes it impossible to beat them. When you are stuck placing 5 units at a time until you capture enough territories and they are placing 11, there is no way to win!
My only complaint is that the battles don't go to completion. It's irritating when I have troops retreating from a battle they could have won if they had continued to fight. There is also a bug where the audio for a game (in progress or being watched through the history) will continue even after going to the main menu and even after starting a new game.
