I really liked it. It was fun, and the challenge was entertaining. As a recommendation, I'd say make things more straightforward, and rely a little less on intuition; I thought it really sucked there wasn't a magic trader until one teleport took me nearly on top of him! Some other game mechanics, like D for drop or secret doors (haven't seen any of these; I've waited near some cracks but no luck) could use some explanation as well.
Overall, I like it though! I defeated the red dragon :) and promptly got destroyed by a dozen dragon lords xD
You should do away with the acceleration system, and move towards a keystroke making you move at top speed instantly, with the speed upgrade changing your top speed. It's very frustrating to slowly pick up speed towards a rapidly falling object, miss it while picking up speed, and then have to decelerate to get something on the other side of the screen. By the endgame when you're upgraded it isn't too bad; but it makes the start rough.
Just too much lag. I have a good machine, and even on absolute minimum settings it's horribly laggy. I'm not usually one who cares- but when it's skippin so bad that every time I enter a bubble it freezes and I'm suddenly shot by a billion bubbles, it does get to me.
It's cool; a few suggestions. The platforms are always the exact same; change them up? And bright green text is very very hard to read on the background. Also, would it be possible to change the scroll of the screen so that it follows you as the little guy? It gets annoying having to wait for the screen to catch up.
It's ALL about the mods. Try to get the guns you want, with plenty of mod slots. Right now I have a rapid bowgun with 5 slots and another with 3; and a g. gun with 4.
My advice?
Be a hunter, use rapid bowgun. Have 3 ranger allies, each with gravity gun.
If you're going to 'balance' the game by making it harder (which it doesn't need; there's already a pretty steep difficulty curve) then would you please make it so that the bowgun always hits barbarians and exploders?
Is it just me, or did this recent "balance" patch mean making the enemies a lot, lot tougher? I was just breezing through, day after day; I started today and even with the henchman I've decided to try using, I can't get past one day. On day 48 btw.
Heres a tip for getting the 6000 jump if you turn so your resistance is 3% then you use rocket to get to speed of 200 then let speed drop to175 and do over again you should be able to make it. This really works plz keep alive!
These are the endings if anyone is interested A= Save the man, get fish for the man, and keep the sharks away from the child. B= Let the sharks eat the child. C= Die from the army raft (mines). D= Die from submarine (torpedoes). E= Destroy the submarine
Glad you enjoyed it. Well done for getting that far, not many people have made it as far as that.
