You can only jump while climbing a wall. The D is the "wall jump button", so you need to hold the up arrow to climb a wall and press D to do a wall jump.

It runs fine on my PC...Are you using the latest Flash plugin? Anyway, I'll check if I can find a way to make it eat up less CPU...
