Making the game non linear would be tons of fun. It reminds me of a game called Trapped for the playstation. You were a useless summoner and the whole point was to kite enemies into trap and do really fun combos to wrack up really big points.
I do not like the guardian mechanic. 4 out of 6 of my heros use one... the 6th hero that I dont even like sits inactive... but all of a sudden my guardian is the wrong color. I attempted to force it to swap by taking 4 rapid portals in a row... but honestly, this bad mechanic might make me give up on this game.
I am working to unlock blood mage and all of a sudden herbalist and falconer returned. Is that intended? I was under the impression when I didnt take them earlier in the game they were gone for good.
I dont get the point of the energy emitter. The accumulator already transports energy for you but has no restrictions except for the price rapidly goes up the more of them you have.
