After 2 months i finally gave in and joined game's discord channel to check what's going on. Apparently developer run out of the ideas how to fix this problem (but didn't give up). Right now he's taking a break. From the looks of it we'll have to wait much longer if not forever. The only thing we can do is wait or play on Steam. In a way i enjoyed this lengthy break but i might end up switching until this issue is fixed.
@HapiwakuProject - I cleared the cache data on Kong and tested multiple old saves. They work fine until i hit Guild Level 40 which unlocks Mystic Arena. Since that point the save files are either loaded and get stuck on offline progress OR can't even load at all (newest one). I'm using Firefox 119.0. I'll submit a proper bug report with save files included soon.
New update just hit steam, so Kong should receive an update soon as well. It usually took a few days to account for hotfixes as well. It's a big update with lots of QoL stuff, new Super Dungeon, pet milestones and adjustments and more. Once update is LIVE you should be able to use bonus code - IEH2SuperDungeon
After 8 months i finally managed to reach guild level 200. Still need 3800 swarms for the final badge which is going to take couple more (2-3 months or so i believe). I managed to get nearly all upgrades possible with exception of those that would take an enormous amount of time. At this point i'm not doing anything but leaving game open to increase pet rank/loyalty and increase expedition level. Hopefully future update shakes things up a little. One of the newest comments on steam mentioned there's a beta version of the new update with new content. Hopefully it won't take much longer.
@matthewgraves001 - Developer had some irl issues before, but should be working on the next update. I know nothing else besides that. In any case Dojo or Tavern aren't necessary to "beat" the game. You should focus on other permanent upgrades like mission milestones, pets, talismans, equipment and so on. You don't have to ascend world the moment it becomes available.
Yesterday i've learned that Thief's Lucky Blow and Assassination skills ignore OR add your own crit chance in addition to the chance stated on skill's tooltip. This means that they can crit even when your own crit chance is negative (capped at 0% though) due to challenge boss' field debuff. Very useful to know to say the least, too bad i discovered it way too late. Also, magical crit chance is only used by skills which are inherently elemental (scaled by MATK). Physical skills turned elemental via Slayer's Oil still use physical crit chance.
@spamspam_me - That's definitely not true since i'm at the end of the road already after 7 months. Granted i'm fairly efficient and my PC is running most of the time so that's a big advantage for me. Slower progression while offline definitely sucks, so if you don't use your PC often then it'll take year(s) for sure.
@dederteee - Badges require too much time is an understatement. After nearly 7 months i'm at 24/26 and only halfway through 10000 Swarm clear badge. In same amount of time i've spent here i could easily obtain several hundred other badges. I do like this idle despite it's flaws so i don't mind this, but anybody who's only goal is getting points should turn away from IEH2.
I'd also love more QoL added, can be on pets too i guess. Right now my most optimal way to play is to rapidly ascend my world to grind rewards from boss challenges, which i can do about 2 per hour. However it requires so much time commitment that after ~1/2 days of doing that i already have enough of it. Purple Bat QoL is already good, would love something like that for Rebirth 2 and 3 but expanded. Another great QoL would be for game to automatically count challenge bosses as completed if your current game time is >= your best time on that boss.
Few things i've discovered in the past month: #1 Minimum Milestone level required to ascend your world caps at 50. #2 Certificate of Competence reduces cast time by max 50%, which should've been stated on tooltip. #3 "Overkill" swarm clears count towards score. Example: two 30x clears on a small 50 clear swarm will count as 60 clears and effectively increase your score to gain more rewards. These tips aren't very useful until very late but maybe it'll help someone.
@DoubleNN - from what i gathered from Steam's discussion page today is that dev had some irl stuff to take care of and it slowed down the development of the next patch. Things started moving again from the looks of it though. Devs generally communicate through Discord server.
@jascaicps1 - To be fair you didn't lose much. Early uniques (rarity: rare) are quite bad with a few exceptions. They're too rare and take longer to exp on top of it, so levelled uncommons especially with masteries just outclass them for the most part. However 20% damage to X enemy type found on uniques is still very useful and worth taking on armour/jewellery slots for a big damage increase. Unique items have a 0,001% chance (x Area level) to drop from an enemy. Luck doesn't increase their drop chance.
Recently i noticed that Luck stat doesn't just increase equipment drop chance, but also the chance for equipment to drop with enchanted slots. At certain point all your items drop with at least 1 extra slot, so extra Luck above that increases the chance for 2/3 slots to appear. From a quick test 5000 Luck guarantees 1 slot, 50k guarantees 2 slots and 500k makes you drop 3 slot items. Can't believe i didn't notice this correlation earlier.
@Wariat117 - The real reward for exporting your file is not losing your progress. Plus you can gain Epic Coins via export/import feature too. Simply export the file before you go to sleep / before midnight. You can then keep importing the file to reset daily missions to get the more rewarding ones. Just don't get too greedy since it's tedious to do plus will crash unity player at certain point. Low end device should crash more often.
@ouzhibin - Rebirth 4 requires Temple rank 3 which isn't implemented just yet. It's not the only building that can't be upgraded past certain point. Mystic Arena (rank 3), Arcane Researcher (rank 4) and Adventuring Party (rank 2) are also locked and can't be upgraded. Dojo, Tavern and the final 10th area (Unicorn Island) aren't implemented yet either. World Ascension is only available at tier 1 too. All we can do is wait for the next update.
Huh, it seems Kong fixed the first swarm badge! I finally got it yesterday after refreshing the page. Does anybody else experienced the same? As a side note after 5 months i managed to reach 2000 mission milestone. 2500 Pet level should follow soon enough. There's almost no easy upgrades for me to do so my progress should slow down at this point.
As for spider issue, one thing you can do right now is combat poison with HP regen and life potions. They're the strongest defence early game and are extremely useful for clearing harder zones/dungeons or pushing certain level thresholds on your character (rebirths 2/3 mostly). With normal magicslime pet to replenish potions you can grind hard zones while being AFK too. Also potions that expire when you enter the zone can be used infinitely as long as you take them off before you enter the zone. Extremely useful for dungeons (EXP/gold/HP regen potions), but too tedious for normal zones.
Research speed is based on the current stone/crystal/leaf amount you have. Speed increases by 1 for every extra number in the total amount (1 + logarithm10), so 1000 is 4, 10000 is 5 etc.. The game runs normally as long as you don't switch browser tabs OR have another program/game running in fullscreen mode (borderless is fine). I simply have 2 browser windows open at the same time. IEH window is small and the other is large and covers IEH window by a large degree. You can play other games just fine like that too.
@Wariat117 - Potions you make and upgrades you buy are multiplied by the number directly below "HELP" button. Spider's poison is quite annoying early on but it quickly becomes a non-issue. I think after my first World Ascension the problem simply vanished.
@Quayle - my bad, i completely misread your question somehow. Accomplishment states "within the first X mins", which is the time played in current world (since last ascension). In short you need to do these missions very fast. YOU HAVE TO get Pause button before you ascend your world . It's a lifesaver and allows you to complete multiple acomplishments even on your very first ascension, which might give you more points than ascension itself and will speed up your progress drastically.
