Fantastic game. The puzzles weren't so difficult that they weren't solvable--the "eye" button helped a lot--but they were still challenging. The world is engaging and captures the imagination with a sense of childlike wonder and the fantastic. One of the best point-and-click games I've played in a while.
I can see a lot of work went into this from the amount of text alone, but the movement system irritates me a bit. Could it be a bit more intuitive and streamlined between map and arrow keys, maybe? I guess I haven't come across a text-based game that makes use of maps and squares instead of just menus for areas, and it feels clunkier. Enemy encounters are still mostly RNG, and for those rare planned ones you could just say "seek out the Ripgut" in the menu.
Devs, maybe specify you have to click ON the sheep and not just click to make them jump in that text under the "i"? Or maybe give people a popup when they start the game?
Besides that, decent enough. Relies on reaction time for those who want something brainless. I imagine it works rather well on touchscreens. Cute graphics.
Okay, this just looks plain unprofessional. Guys, you're giving yourself a bad name. Have someone double-check your translating, because this is just awful to read. It's awful to play, too. The icons are so small I can barely see them, and quite honestly the graphics look like someone threw them together in Paint when they had a 15-minute coffee break.
An explanation of stats and the ability to set key controls or at least reference what they do would be nice. Customizable heros would be nice but isn't a must.
If you want people to even PLAY the game you have to make a better first impression. I quit after the conversation with the king because it was just... so... Sheesh, I can't even find a word for it. Hideous? Painful? Uncomfortable ? Not immersing?
"There are no limit on the extent of smiting!"
5/5 One of the best games I've played.
Argumentation is limited and sometimes frustrating, but very rewarding and it's a well-made, appealing game that makes you think. Well done.
Very disturbing. I don't know that I want to get into the crazy mindset you probably need to be in in order to come up with the solution to this game--or make it. x.X
Not everyone is ready to face their inner demons. An initiation is a passing from one state to another. A journey everyone must take in their own time. Maybe next year on this - 3 August 2014, you Danz539, can try play it again? There is a relatively non-violent solution to the game. Somewhere.
