The strategy for beating every single level is sadly quite simple. 1) always play as the english, 2) always play against the prussians (you might be able to skip this), 3) build a pile of redcoats and never bother with cannon, 4) when you can afford it, upgrade all your troops to greenjackets, 5) win
The best way to play this game is to farm cash by hitting "assault" while you're doing other things. Level 10 is pretty good for this once you get sky dragon, as it gives 20k gold per run. You can even play other games while farming cash on this one!
It's not that hard, just pause the game for more time. You can still issue orders while the game is paused, making it almost turn-based rather than real time.
Controls are very glitchy. Keys get stuck almost immediately, every time I play this game, resulting in my character running off into a pit without my intervention. Extremely annoying, makes the game unplayable.
Oh yeah, one other thing is that the user interface was very good, simple and easy to use (mostly). Hotkeys for building stuff would be nice, and on a separate note I never bothered with any of the spells as archers can destroy everything.
I liked the game a lot. Overall, it was very good but not quite challenging enough to keep me at it. If you just max out skeleton archers with a few heroes for support and zombies/warriors to tank, you can destroy everything the first time through. 5/5
It's a good game, but I've had it hang 2-3 times now, which is extremely annoying considering how long it takes to beat a level on hard. 3/5. Without crashes I would give it 5/5.
Controls definitely need some work, it's pretty annoying to have to spam selecting and left clicking on the enemy just to keep your units moving, plus colonies in the back have to be pumped up to front line colonies manually, which is annoying. Overall, good concept, mediocre execution. Maybe 3/5
The way I beat 13 is by picking off some of the neutral small squares (with 8 defenders), build up my forces and wait for AI to assault the gigantic circle on the left. Then I counterattack and hold the circle with everything I have. Comp, if smart, has me outgunned and could take it back, but it never does. GG.
This is a great idea, but I definitely think the controls are rather difficult to master. 1) Hard to click on objects, 2) I can't Ctrl+number key because it changes tabs, 3) overall hard to use effectively, which sucks when the computer is insanely multi-tasking.
Cool idea, but mistiming issues are really annoying. E.g. I can get into a situation where purely through the actions of past lives it kills itself. That is, I make it through alive the first time, but every time after that it fails due to mistiming of the actions. Then I have to completely restart the level because my past versions are killing each other.
