[sic]” I do not mind if people express their opinions about things, positive or negative. But you cannot just say something sucks without saying exactly WHY it sucks. If you state things like “death to this game and creator,” along with only saying that the game sucks, it doesn’t validate your argument in any way. It just sounds more like bitching. Now, if you truly are a proponent of “constructive criticism,” then you can do so in a more mature and constructive way. For example, while I greatly enjoy the game because of its simplicity, it’s very much limited in its notes and riffs. I don’t have to say, “Oh God this is the worst game ever,” and if I did, I’d at least say WHY. Your rather negative comment (as you did praise the graphics) serves almost as little purpose as saying, “good game.” Of course you have the right to post whatever you want, your opinion, whatever, in the comments. I didn’t say you didn’t have that. As for your English skills, it is not completely necessary, but if you want to make a more valid argument it doesn’t hurt to have them. Unfortunately, while your argument could be completely valid in any case, people generally (in reference to the general “we” you questioned about) take those who cannot structure sentences and words in their own language seriously – myself included, if it is bad enough (as long as I can read it). Everything else aside, everything must be taken with a little less literalism than you have. I wonder if I have used “my chance” (whoever you are to administer such things) adequately. I will be more than happy to “give you more than one chance,” as I like to retain an open mind. show less

Not yet. I haven’t been able to find time lately, been doing applications for scholarships and college. I read your advice though

Jan 2, 2011 12:02am I finally got the time to go over “If I Could Be Happy”… Your intro is too long… I found myself losing interest before you progressed the chords into the next phrase… Unfortunately, unless the intro is dissonant in nature, it needs to be short to retain attention… Try attacking the theme first, then re-visiting your intro for the hook. The hook is easier to manipulate, and can be longer than, say, a chorus… Keep working at it, & drop off any revisions on my shout wall… show less

Dec 14, 2010 6:33am I agree with your comments for PoM2… It seems as though some of these players have no clue what a “melody” is, let alone how to harmonize with it. I’m a music composition & theory teacher (in real life), and do what I can to help people, & students, understand how to create harmonies. A lot of the songs I’ve been hearing recently (on here) are very dissonant; with diminished chords. If people would realize that the diminished chords work, as long as they resolve to harmony, better songs would be produced. ‘Just my 2 cents’ show less
