Is anyone else not able to play this game? I've been trying for several days, but neither the Start button nor the music button work. They flash briefly when the mouse moves over them, but are unresponsive to clicks. I have the latest version of Flash and I have tried the game on Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer with no luck. I've looked around this site and others, but can't find any solution to the issue.
A really cool concept. The only negative thing I can say is that some of the puzzles seem a little arbitrary. For instance, I'm not entirely certain why a little knight doll would kill a griffin, especially when the story says the knight belonged to the order of the griffin. Also, why would an orc doll kill a demon, especially when the story says the orc was possessed by a demon. I think tightening the story and the puzzles so they compliment each other would really make this game pop. Looking forward to more.
I don't think some of these updates worked. I defeated the guy who gives a griffin upgrade, but when I summoned my griffin card in the next battle, it was still 3/15. Then, when I fought Ashe, I saw that one of the Victory conditions was to have 5 creatures of 5 elements. I had a Fire Drake, a Merfolk Elder, a Griffin (still at 3/15, even though I took the +4 health in the previous battle as well), an Elf Hermit, and a Dwarven Craftsman, but I didn't win. Either the victory condition is broken or poorly communicated.
Infuriating. This could be a good game, but right now the difficulty spikes way too quickly. I can't get past the first system. As far as I can tell, I didn't purchase equipment wisely or spend my points wisely, but I have no way of knowing that so early in the game. I feel that I have no choice but to start over. I have a level 7 ship and a level 8 ship, but they don't feel any different than any other level and they can still be taken out by a level 1 enemy, which doesn't seem right. Without any way to grind or reset points, I'm stuck. This could be a good game, but right now I feel like the game is just trying to read the mind of the developer.
Interesting game, though it feels really unbalanced. For instance, I played 2 light blue/purple deck games and I never once got any purple cards even though I got down to only having 11 cards left in the first game and 6 left in the second before they ended. I can't say with certainty that I didn't have any purple energy in the deck, but it sure felt like it. Seems to happen a lot with a multitude of colors. Maybe take a look at the random deck creation?
I'd like this game, but right now I have absolutely no way of progressing forward. I purchased 2 of the 5 water essences available in Aeropolis, saved my game, came back later only to find them gone from my inventory. Now I can only get 3 instead of the 4 I need to get the Shaman's Brew.
So, what's the point of doing any mission that isn't normal? I don't get any XP or anything. Also, why does it tell me the mummy thing has unlocked every single flippin' time I beat a level, including a mummy level?
I think there's something very unbalanced when I own 3 restaurants, 2 with everything on the first line and 1 with delivery, and still get beat by about 10 percentage points. Sucks all the strategy out of the game.
2 features that might be cool - a reload function and some UI feature that lets you know what levels in the campaign you've defeated with which weapon.
Here's a bug that I found... I moved Robin's Hood over my apprentice to purchase it, but was told that I had no money. So I released the mouse button. After that, the description field of the item was blank.
